The universe is a dangerous place, with horrors to chill your very soul. At one time, long before any of the races known today were sentient, a race known merely as The Phantoms ruled a Galactic Empire that spanned across the Alpha, Beta and Gamma Quadrants. But much like the dinosaurs of ancient Earth, they one day simply vanished, leaving no trace of their existence except for what is now taken as myth and folklore. Out of the edge of the galaxy, a massive fleet of ships is coming. The Phantoms have returned home, and wish to reclaim the Empire that they lost so long ago. With their loyal minion races such as the brutal Zaj, they are preparing to do battle with us for not just our space and territory, but for our very lives as well. Only the IDF and whatever allies we can find along the way stand before them and complete galactic rule once more. This is mission, and failure is not an option. As the Klingon’s would say, it is victory or death.
