My life in NorwayHere are some photos from Norway that we so far have developed, there are many yet to come. First some info for you who like to read. For you who don’t know, I am now moved up to Norway to stay for one year! To save some money and explore the nature as much as we can, we have moved into Lars parents cottage in Molvik. Molvik is situated by a fjord with several 700-800 meters peak surrounding it. It is about a 45 min drive from Bergen. Hiking up to one of the peaks we have a stunning view out to the ocean and all the islands. The coast is very wild, rugged and never seems to end. I truly love it out there!! If we look the other way (east) we see the higher mountains with 3 glaciers in sight and all the outdoor fun you can imagine. So I guess you don’t have to ask if I’m enjoying myself!!! We have spend our days trekking, MTBing, fishing, sunning, skiing on the glacier, fishing crab….etc etc. If you think it sounds cool, visit the Norway guide that Lars and I (well Lars has done most of the work so far) have created. It has been some jam packed days lately. We drove down to Sweden in the end of July, to see my family and get some more stuff we left down there. We only stayed for three days, then we drove back up again. As the people from Sweden and Norway knows, the sun has been baking us like no tomorrow the last weeks. It was too bloody hot when we drove up again, and we shouldn’t even talk about how it was in Gol (in the eastern Norwegian valleys) where we camped. From Gol we drove on yet another stunning road over the mountains to reach the west coast area. Gorgeous is the only word to do it justice and will I have some great photos for you later, or what!!! Happy up here again, we just tossed the things into the house and the next day (Monday) we went to Lars parents place to borrow the boat and also go for a hike. Tuesday morning we drove out to the mountain area: Stølsheimen, Hordaland to camp and climb the peak “Kvitanosi”, which means the white nose. It was a beautiful, yet warm hike up. Usually there can be a lot of wind on the peak, however this time it was so calm not even the hair on my head trembled. The view was nothing more than perfect with 4 glaciers in sight, green valleys and lakes. A new goal for me is to reach the peak in wintertime, however I guess I really need to become better on my telemark skis before setting off. Up towards the peak is easier, down...hehe. Well, Lars always gets a good laugh!!! When we put up our camp in the evening, we actually ran into one of Lars friends, that work as a guide for Bergen mountain association. Wednesday morning we got to borrow his canoe for a while. It is utterly beautiful and peaceful out there, especially when you can slowly cross through the water in the canoe, while watching the snow covered peak you climbed yesterday. I wish that I had photos to show you already. We didn’t stay in Stølsheimen too long on Wednesday though. The last days I have felt really tired and when hiking down from Kvitanosi I felt less than good. Tuesday night I got the fever and finally back in the house I crashed on the couch. It’s no fun feeling sick when the weather is making you feel as you are living on the sun, not a thousand miles away. Today I really didn’t feel much better. We were supposed to meet some pupils of Lars that are from Korea (his students in Frankfurt). I still had a fever and didn’t feel to be too social. Also it isn’t very kind to make them sick too. However I couldn’t just lie in bed in this gorgeous weather. So instead I went to Bergen with Lars and while he had lunch with the Korean students I rumbled around taking photos for our guide, shopping and just enjoying the atmosphere of Bergen. On our way home we stopped at IKEA (and not to soak in the Swedish atmosphere), then we drove home and eat fresh shrimps and newly baked bread. Now I’m sitting here with a cup of hot java, feeling pleased with my life but also being tortured by my body, since I refuse to stay in bed.....BAD Malin!! Take care/m |

Lars and I out fishing in the evening in the fjord.

Lars and I took the boat out at 10.30 PM and fished until 1 AM. Then we slept a few hours on a small island, before we started fishing again at 3.30 AM. It’s a lousy photo, but I just love the colours. |
Lars and his uncle out fishing. We got a lot of fish that day. |

We MTB for a few days high up the mountains. We have taken so much photo from here, however we have so far only developed one roll. More is to come. It was in conclusion gorgeous. This pic is taken further down in the valley and you can see the steep path that we biked on. |
At the higher altitude there was some snow. |
Lars taking a small break by one of the smaller waterfalls. |

Again out at Kjekallen. This is the place where we usually go fishing crab in the night, go sunning, or just gawk at the stunning sunset. |
