Nestled in the shadow of its namesake, the Whitehorse Mountain Amphitheater played host each year to Classic Rockers from the seventies and eighties.

With camping for 1,000 vehicles and a river to-boot, it's the perfect place to spend a late August weekend.

Included in the 2002 line-up were Big Brother and the Holding Company, Little Feat, Foghat and a disappointing turn by Grand Funk Railroad. Well, they can't all be watershed performances.

The organizers initially booked Judas Priest, but the private jets and personal trainers weren't enough to entice them to this "back woods" venue. In a statement issued by show's management, they said with anti-Americanism swelling abroad they were happy to book an American headliner instead. God Bless America.
