On the top of the chimney of the fireplace of my house, there are these mesh metal boxes, so that way the smoke can still get out to safety, if the flue is open, but evil demons of evil and cute fuzzy birds can't build their nest or lairs of evil (respectively) in the chimney. Man alive, if that's not personal enough for you, I don't know what is.
