April 1, 2002 - In the Barrington attic, Alison speaks to Rebecca's portrait and asks how her ancestor managed to save her life. Or - someone who looked just like her. 'You were as real as I am,' Alison tells her great-great-great grandmother. 'But how? Did Rafe send you?' Alison goes on to remind herself that Rafe told her she should move on, but Alison wonders how she will ever be able to love again, telling her angel: "I love you, Rafe." 
     As Ian returns to the hospital and informs Colleen and Deniece that they will need to get a new doctor on staff because Amy has been called away, he is dismayed to find them all on the brink of tears and asks if there is another nurses' strike. Frank says "I wish,' and then Kevin tells Ian that he needs to speak to him. Hearing Kevin's message, Ian says: "It's impossible,' and moves away. Lucy arrives and tells Frank 'I don't believe it!'
     In heaven, Eve takes the Fifth Chair. When Eve asks if she is dead, Rafe asks her what she can remember. Eve tells him that she picked up the airline tickets for her honeymoon trip with Ian. Then, as she drove over a bridge, the road was slick, the wheel jerked out of her hands, and the car rolled over and over off the bridge. Then Eve looks around at all of them and says: "If you're all alive and well - how can I be dead?' But Rafe quickly explains to her that none of them are exactly alive and well - that they are all angels who had been sent back to earth to complete a journey.
     Amy tells Eve about trying to poison Ian and changing her mind. Eve tells Amy that her journey must have been to save Ian's life - not take it - since, by going to see Amy, Ian was not in the car with Eve when she had the accident and Eve's son, Danny, did not lose both his parents at the same time. 
     Down on earth, Ian goes to view Eve's body. Frank, Lucy and Kevin all leave Ian alone with Eve's body. Lucy worries about Danny not having a mother now that Eve is gone. Inside, Ian looks at the airline tickets Eve had picked up and tells his wife that he is glad she got a window seat for him. Ian notices that Eve is cold and puts his jacket around her and talks to her, finally breaking down as he admits: "I can't fix this!' 
     Meanwhile, in heaven, Amy asks Ed if he always knew she would not be able to kill Ian. ED: "I always knew you had goodness in your heart. I just had to keep the faith that you would find it.' Paige then notices that Amy can see and that Casey looks like a woman in love. Casey agrees that she found something wonderful during her brief time with Ricky and reminds Ed that she DID save Jamal and Ricky's lives - and asks for a Guardian Angel gig next time around. Rafe then thanks Paige for saving Alison's life and apologizes for standing in her way - but Paige tells him that she understood he was just trying to protect Alison.  
     Later, Rafe confides to Ed that he misses Alison already and he is convinced that he can never let Alison go. Meanwhile, in the Barrington attic, Alison has brought out a wooden case full of Rebecca's candles, telling Rebecca that Rafe will always be: "My angel, my love and my hero.' As Alison unpacks the candles, she notices that each candle is named: One is Beauty. The next is Comfort. And the third is Love. Alison wonders if Rebecca's candles would help bring Rafe back to her so they could enjoy heaven on earth. Alison lights a candle and sits quietly in the attic. 
     At the hospital, Kevin reschedules his appointments and Frank heads home to tell Karen about Eve's death. When an orderly comes to move Eve's body to the morgue, Kevin stops him and tells him to wait until Ian is ready to have the body moved. In heaven, Eve tells the other angels that she is thankful that she and Ian had mended their fences and tells Amy that it was Amy who brought that about. Amy tells Eve that many people go through an entire lifetime without getting even close to the kind of love that Eve enjoyed with Ian and Amy reminds Eve that she has so much to be grateful for. At the hospital, a grieving Ian just holds on to Eve. Kevin and Lucy come to the door and silently watch. Ed tells Casey, Paige and Amy that they have fulfilled their destinies and that they are ready to move on. When Eve asks what will happen to her, Amy takes Eve's hand to show her the way. But, before she leaves with the others, Eve asks Ed whether or not she will ever see Ian or Danny again and Ed reassures Eve that she will see her husband and son again. And the angels round a corner and vanish out of sight. 
     Rafe tells Ed he still can not let Alison go. But Ed tells Rafe that it is over. When Rafe tells Ed that he can not accept it, Ed tells Rafe that Rafe has to be able to accept things the way they are. In the Barrington attic, Alison decides that Rebecca's candle really will not be able to bring Rafe back. So she blows it out and leaves the attic. But after Alison leaves, the candle re-ignites itself. 

April  2, 2002 - Lucy worried about Kevin and the repercussions of Eve's death and Chris mourned in his own way with Jack's help. Ian tried to cope with himself and Danny missing Eve and hunted for a box Eve had given him. Kevin and Lucy came to offer help. Alison found something unexpected in the attic and cleared the air with Livvie. She gave Livvie a candle and chose one, "Comfort," for Ian. Lucy begged Kevin to discuss his grief and he finally broke down. Ian found the box. Alison found the attic empty and was devastated. Amanda insisted Rebecca had been a witch and evil. 

April  3, 2002 - Victor comes to the lighthouse to see Lucy. He tells her he wants to do something to honor Eve. He would like to hold the upcoming charity auction in Eve's name. Lucy thinks this would be a wonderful tribute until Ricky and Jamal start carting in boxes of items. Victor explains that Amanda Barrington has donated a whole slew of items from her attic. He needs Lucy to store it temporarily. Mary comes in with a box of candles that also came from the Barrington estate. They are handmade and very unusual. Lucy calls them "uniquely different." After Lucy goes upstairs to get Christina, Mary admires a purple candle. She tells Victor it would look really nice in their bedroom. Victor lights the candle. As he does, the camera zooms to the bottom where the word *Lust* is written. Suddenly, Victor and Mary are overwhelmed by passion. Lucy walks in with Christina in time to see them making out on her sofa. As Lucy covers Christina's eyes, Victor hands her $50 to pay for the candle. He says it's worth every penny. Amanda finds Alison sitting all alone in the empty Barrington attic. When Alison asks where everything has gone, Amanda tells her to forget about the things as well as her Great, Great, Etc. Grandmother Rebecca. Amanda informs Alison that everything associated with Rebecca has been donated to charity. She warns Alison to let it go because Rebecca was a witch Livvie lights the candle Alison gave her. She and Jack cuddle on the couch until they are interrupted by a knock at the door. Alison is there asking for help in finding Rebecca's things. Jack is eager to help, but Livvie refuses. She believes that if Rebecca was really a witch, then they should have nothing to do with her. Livvie reminds them of Caleb and the trouble he caused. She is afraid of getting involved in anything remotely related to magic or witchcraft. Livvie and Jack argue about what to do. Finally, Livvie tells Jack that he can help Alison if he wants, but Livvie will not have anything to do with the situation. As Livvie watches through the window, she sees Jack and Alison hug as he promises to help her. Livvie picks up the candle and throws it. On the bottom, the word *Trouble* is written. At the Recovery Room, Ricky pulls out a few items he had helped himself to from Amanda's donation boxes. One of the items is a candle. He lights it then holds it up to luminate the hallmark on a silver trinket. Sitting next to Ricky is Jamal who wonders what happened to Casey. Jamal then remarks that Casey was really "freaky". Ricky takes offense at this remark and threatens Jamal. Jamal apologizes then leaves. Ricky holds the lighted candle as he thinks about Casey. He notices the word *Desire* written on the bottom. As Ricky remembers Casey's last kiss, he thinks he sees her walk past the window of the Recovery Room. He runs outside, but Casey is nowhere in sight. 

April  4, 2002  Eve's Memorial Service brings friends and neighbors together to remember the dearly departed. Ian lights Rebecca's candle during his eulogy and recalls the light from Eve's eyes that brought him peace. Chris and Kevin also pay tribute to Eve at the service, and Lucy assures Kevin that Eve has gone to a good place surrounded by angels. Alison runs out of the service in tears, and Jack follows in the hopes of providing comfort. Alison leads Jack back to the barn with the intention of saying one last goodbye to Rafe, and both get a shock when they find all of Rebecca's belongings magically returned. Livvie informs Jamal that Alison and Jack have embraced trouble, and Ian asks for Eve's continued guidance and protection when he finds Daniel mysteriously tucked in for bed. 

April 5, 2002 Livvie voices her concerns about Rebecca to Jamal.  hey research and find that Rebecca was a candlemaker who lookedlike Paige! She was accused of witchcraft/murder. She was hanged! Frank attacks Ricky when he see him with Casey's key. Ricky tells Frank that he loved Casey and wouldn't have ever hurt her. Frank backs off when Karen says that she believes him. Jack and Alison arrive at the barn to find that Rebecca's stuff is there! Alison finally finds out about the Paige connection when she is told by a recognizing Jack. Jack finds an old camera. Alison gives it to him and he takes her picture. When he leaves, Rebecca steps out of her portrait and tells her great great great granddaughter that she has never- and will never- be alone! 

April 8, 2002 Jack begins to take Livvie's suspicions seriously after examining the photo containing Alison also contains Rebecca! The mystery grows when Jack shares the picture with Livvie and Jamal and discovers that Rebecca's image has disappeared. Livvie and Jamal investigate Rebecca's past and learn that she was a cold-blooded killer as well as a witch, and Jamal agrees to approach Alison about leaving the past alone. At the same time, Rebecca shares her side of the story with Alison:  The candles only bring out what you already have inside of yourself. Jamal walks in on Alison talking to Rebecca. Ian calls Lucy's attention to Rebecca's "comfort" candle when he shares his fears about what will happen when the life of the candle draws to a close, and Ian falls to pieces and trashes his apartment when the candle does burn out. 

April 9, 2002 Jamal confronts Alison about speaking to Rebecca, and Alison blows her cover when she reacts to the news Jamal shares about Rebecca's past. Jamal begs Alison to return to the real world with him, but Alison chooses to stay in the barn, and she accuses Jamal of still longing to get back together with her. Livvie continues obsessing about Alison's well being, and she tosses the "trouble" candle into the fireplace. (DUH!!!)  Jack does his best to calm Livvie, and Livvie and Jack seal their pact to keep nothing between them by making love. However, Jack secretly keeps the antique camera and hides it while Livvie sleeps. Back in the barn, Rebecca ventures out of her portrait, and she informs desperate Alison that she can help bring Rafe closer to Alison. Meanwhile, Chris meets Ricky, and Ricky shares his story about Casey and the "desire" candle. As a result, oblivious Chris lights the "lust" candle at the Recovery Room, creating sparks between Mary and Victor, as well as between Chris and Officer Doree on the dance floor.  Doree's partner walks in, and, misinterpreting the scene, punches Chris! 

April 10, 2002 Alison confronts Rebecca about her past, and Rebecca explains her side of the story:  She was not a witch.  She was accused of murdering a minister, but in reality she helped him run off with his lover! Confused, Alison maintains her distance from Rebecca, and, hurt, Rebecca disappears back into her portrait. Alison ponders her options regarding Rafe, and she ultimately decides to take Rebecca's advice and to light the offered candle. As she does, the barn door opens, and Alison anticipates Rafe's return. Lucy stumbles upon Doree's partner arresting Chris for assaulting her, but Doree insists that she consented to Chris' advances, and Doree further flirts with Chris by taking the "lust" candle for "evidence". Intrigued Lucy then turns to Mary and Victor, both upset by the candle's disappearance. Lucy probes for more information regarding the candle, and Mary admits that the candle ignited an old spark in her love life. Meanwhile, Kevin finds Ian in the ruins of his apartment, watching old videos of Eve. Ian lashes out at Kevin, and Kevin surprises Ian when he invites Ian and Daniel to stay at the lighthouse. 

April 11, 2002 Lucy disappoints Alison when she walks through the barn door instead of Rafe. When Lucy experiences a feeling of warmth after lighting the "Warmth" candle, she shares her ideas with Alison about turning Rebecca's candles into a profitable business. Alison agrees to partner with Lucy.  Lucy suggests that they make and sell the candles in the barn, and russhes off to purchase it from the owner.  Alison lights the "love" candle upon Lucy's departure. Alison falls asleep, and all of Alison's dreams appear to come true when Rafe steps through the barn doors.  At the same time, Livvie experiences a nightmare about Alison calling Livvie for help from within a ring of raaging candles, while Jack busily develops more photographs. Jack finds another image of Rebecca in the prints.  Livvie wakes to see Alison's image in the burning fireplace. Meanwhile, Karen hears an intruder and ends up attacking Ricky. Karen and Ricky end up moving closer, and she comforts him regarding Casey. Frank arrives upon the scene and misinterprets a friendly hug. April 12, 2002 Jack asks Livvie to refrain from over-reacting, but Livvie remains convinced of Alison's imminent peril and determines to help her friend immediately. Alison makes love with Rafe, and Rafe gives Alison a single pink rose. Alison wakes and realizes she was only dreaming, but when Alison finds the rose she questions if the encounter actually occurred. Frank accuses Ricky of making a move on Karen, and Karen does her best to explain the situation to Frank. Ricky leaves, and Karen starts to seduce Frank under the influence of the burning "desire" candle. However, Frank experiences an odd reaction to the candle, and he pushes Karen away.

April 15, 2002 - Rebecca suggests that Alison only dreamt of Rafe's return, but Alison points out that Rafe left Alison the rose she holds, prompting Rebecca to offer that love can work miracles. Rebecca requests Alison's assistance to help her rest in peace by spreading the healing powers of Rebecca's candles, and Alison willingly takes on the challenge of learning the secrets of the candles' magical powers.  She begins making candles and chanting spells! Ricky protects Karen from Frank when he reacts with compulsion to his own desires after lighting his candle. Once away from the candle, Frank returns to normal and apologizes to Karen for his behavior. However, Karen remains wary, and a new connection appears to develop between Karen and Ricky.  Meanwhile, Lucy surprises Kevin when she announces her intentions to open a candle shop with Alison in order to spread much needed joy amongst the inhabitants of Port Charles. Kevin remains worried about Ian, who turns down Kevin's offer of a place to stay in favor of returning to Ireland with his son to get his life back on track.

April 16, 2002 - Alison agrees to meet with Jack, and Jack expresses his concerns about Rebecca. Jack convinces Alison to let him peruse Rebecca's belongings, while Livvie gets an unpleasant reminder of her nightmare when she enters the barn and discovers the elements of witchcraft all around her. Livvie determines to save Alison by torching Rebecca's magic makers, and Alison screams in horror when she returns with Jack and witnesses Livvie's bonfire. Frank seeks help from Kevin concerning his volatile behavior, and Kevin notes that Frank mentioned a candle in the midst of his story. Kevin recalls that Ian and Victor's behavior also changed in the presence of Rebecca's candles, and Kevin's growing concern causes him to alert Lucy. Meanwhile, Ricky visits Karen and offers to protect her from Frank's future outbursts. Karen assures Ricky that Frank will not provide a repeat performance, but Ricky remains skeptical and promises Karen that his intentions are pure before he leaves. 

April 17, 2002 - Alison freaks at the sight of Rebecca's burning belongings, and Livvie tries explaining that Rebecca's magic will ultimately send Alison down an evil path. Alison scuffles with Livvie when Livvie threatens to burn the rose left to Alison by Rafe, but a rather large tree branch ends up falling on Livvie's head, knocking her out. Livvie blames Alison for her injury, and Livvie runs home to find Kevin urging Lucy not to open the candle shop with Alison. Up in Heaven, Rafe explains to Ed how his and Alison's dream connected. Ed chastises Rafe for leaving the rose with Alison, and Ed punishes Rafe by putting him on conscience patrol. However, Rafe refuses to give up on Alison and vows to return to her. Rebecca assures Alison that no one can prevent them from realizing their destiny. At the same time, Doree pulls Chris into the hospital elevator, and Doree engages Chris in an afternoon of lovemaking with the help of the Lust candle. 

April 18, 2002 - Kevin shocks Livvie when he doesn't assume Livvie has lost it after she spews her suspicions and speculations, and Kevin convinces Livvie to apologize to Alison. In the meantime, Lucy visits Alison at the barn and discovers that Alison has opened her candle shop despite Livvie's inflicted damage. Surprised Lucy questions Alison about how she managed to open the shop, and Alison covers for Rebecca by stating that Livvie exaggerated. Lucy takes a picture of Alison hanging the sign for the new shop: "The Pink Rose". Soon customers come pouring into the place.  Kevin and Livvie arrive upon the scene, and Livvie frightens customers in the candle shop by announcing that the candles contain evil. Lucy denies all responsibility for the shop when Kevin probes, and Lucy and Kevin grow concerned about Livvie when she dashes off. Once Lucy and Kevin leave, Rebecca steps out of her picture to warn Alison to keep Livvie and Kevin away from the barn. Jack and Jamal work to uncover the mystery surrounding Rebecca, and they decide that they must get Alison out of the barn after learning that Rebecca's candle shop was inside the same barn!!! Frank apologizes to Karen for his behavior over a romantic dinner and takes the opportunity to propose. Karen agrees to marry Frank, but Frank's mood quickly changes in response to a lit candle, and he ends up defaming Karen all over again. 

April 19, 2002 - Jack and Jamal rescue Alison from the barn, and Jack takes pictures of the place, while Jamal carries Alison away and tries to talk sense into her. Jack starts to take pictures of the barn and sees Rebecca through the lens for a fleeting moment. He develops the pictures and finds one of Rebecca standing at the door of the barn under the "Pink Rose" sign, just as in the picture Lucy took of Alison. Jack grows more convinced of supernatural forces at play when he realizes that Alison is reliving Rebecca's life! Alison steps further into darkness when she uses one of Rebecca's candles to put Jamal to sleep and to escape. Alison returns to the barn, and she vows to reconnect with Rafe as she relights the Love candle. Up in Heaven, Rafe lashes out at Ed when he pokes fun at Rafe working on the conscience hotline. He answers a phone call from his "conscience". The person at the other end of the phone leads Rafe through a forbidden door. He meets the person at a place that seems to be where heaven and hell connect, it's James! Meanwhile, Frank continues blasting Karen, and Karen causes the candle to go out when she uses it as a weapon in self-defense. Karen calls upon Ricky for help, and she departs with Ricky, leaving Frank all alone with his horror over his inexplicable behavior. 

April 22, 2002 - Alison still longs for Rafe's return, and Kevin goes to the barn and witnesses Alison dancing alone amidst lit candles. James propositions Rafe, offering Rafe the chance for a normal life with Alison in return for Rafe's soul. Though tempted by his desire to return to Alison, Rafe declines the offer, and James attempts to manipulate Rafe by accusing him of not caring enough about Alison. Livvie eavesdrops as Frank confesses to Kevin about his ongoing irrational behavior toward Karen, and Livvie discerns from Kevin's probing that the candle played a role in Frank's actions. Livvie warns Frank about Rebecca's candles, and they decide to hunt for the candle, but Ricky has already taken it. Meanwhile, hurt Karen shares her dark past with sympathetic Ricky, and later Karen grows agitated in her sleep when Ricky innocently lights the candle. 

April 23, 2002 - Kevin cautions Alison about the powerful candles, and Kevin eventually convinces Alison to temporarily close shop until he analyzes them. Lucy invites Gail to the lighthouse to secretly examine Livvie's mental state, but Livvie catches on and blasts Lucy upon Gail's departure. Livvie overhears Kevin convey to Lucy his intentions for the candles, and Livvie determines to manipulate the candles to guarantee their demise as well as Alison's survival. Back in the barn, Alison convinces herself that she is doing the right thing, but when she glances at Rebecca's portrait, she sees Rebecca crying. Meanwhile, Karen reacts to the "desire" candle and starts kissing willing Ricky. Karen mutters Frank's name in the heat of the moment, and Karen apologizes to confused Ricky. Frank arrives upon the scene and experiences another outburst, and Ricky realizes that Frank's behavior has an association with the candle. 

April 24, 2002 - Livvie furthers her plot to vanquish witchcraft from Port Charles by spiking one of Alison's "Warmth" with a hallucinogenic drug. Jack arrives upon the scene to apologize to Livvie, and oblivious Jack experiences a severe reaction when he lights the laced candle. Beforehand, Jack wakes Jamal from his candle-induced sleep, and Jamal realizes that Alison must have drugged him. Jamal heads to the barn where he confronts Alison, and Alison finally admits that she converses with Rebecca. Rebecca comes out of her portrait when Jamal splits after failing to convince Alison to leave the barn and witchcraft behind, and Rebecca urges Alison to follow her heart and to stand her ground. Meanwhile, Rafe continues to struggle with temptation, and Rafe prays for another chance to return to Port Charles. 

April 25, 2002 - Livvie begins to confess that she doctored the candle when Kevin suggests that Jack's life depends upon it, but Chris interrupts to reveal that he has saved Jack from imminent peril. Kevin learns that the candle contained the hallucinogen. Later, Lucy comes across Doree, who is carying a newly bought Lust candle. Lucy tells Kevin that Alison did not shut down her business like she promised. He marches off to the barn to confront Alison. Unaware of Rebecca's influence, Kevin scolds Alison for continuing to sell dangerous candles, and Kevin alerts Alison to Jack's experience. Alison insists that the candles do not contain anything other than wholesome ingredients, and Alison switches gears swiftly when she sees Kevin standing in harm's way. Meanwhile, Doree and Chris have another lustful experience. Karen continues to fear for Frank, and she searches for clues to his odd behavior. Ricky also works to uncover the mystery, and Ricky decides to conduct an experiment when Frank prevents Ricky from explaining his theory. Ricky exposes Frank to fumes from the candle, and Frank grows enraged, pulls a knife on Ricky and further slanders Karen. Ricky knocks Frank over the head as Karen distracts him, and Ricky coaxes Karen to safety. 

April 26, 2002 - Jack presses Livvie to tell the truth, but Livvie denies all responsibility for Jack's condition when Lucy happens upon the scene. Livvie insists that a noble cause warrants her actions, and Livvie promises to make things up to Jack. However, upset Jack warns Livvie that her actions could ultimately destroy Alison, and Jack tells Livvie not to return to him until she feels ready to come clean. A pitchfork falls from the top of the barn and cuts Kevin's arm. He takes of his blood-stained sweater. Alison agrees to leave the barn with Kevin until the completion of the candle investigation, but Rebecca emerges from the portrait in Alison's temporary absence, and Rebecca takes the opportunity to make an appearance to a shocked Kevin.  Kevin thinks he is hallucinating, and Rebecca lights a candle which makes the good doc disappear!!! Ed coaches Rafe to resist the temptation offered by James, but James makes another play for Rafe's soul. James claims to be shocked that Ed never told Rafe that he was not just the young angel's boss, but his father!!! 

April 29, 2002 - Lucy ventures out to the barn when a bad feeling comes over her, and Lucy questions Alison about Kevin's whereabouts. Alison maintains her ignorance, but Lucy suspects Alison knows more when she spies blood on Alison's apron. Lucy also phones Mac out of her concern for Kevin, and Mac tries to ease Lucy's worry. Livvie seeks a sign of support from Rachel, and Rachel shocks Livvie when she comes out of her coma. Rafe refuses to believe James' claim that Ed fathered Rafe, and Ed comes clean with the truth when Rafe takes James' challenge and confronts Ed. Ed also warns Rafe to forget the girl or suffer severe consequences, but Rafe appears unwilling to listen to fatherly advice. Meanwhile, Karen locks Frank up in a padded cell to prevent his arrest. Karen expresses her concern for Frank's mental health, and disturbed Frank devastates Karen when he accuses her of breaking marriage vows and when he paints a less than admirable picture of Karen's moral character. 

April 30, 2002 - Lucy brings Mac into the mix after Alison fails to satisfy Lucy with a suitable explanation for Kevin's blood on Alison's apron, and Mac freaks Alison further when he finds Kevin's blood on the pitchfork as well as Kevin's broken watch. Livvie realizes that she only dreamed that Rachel recovered to offer her motherly words of advice after Lucy wakes Livvie with news of Kevin's disappearance. Livvie accuses Alison of witchcraft and of murdering her father, and Jack defends Alison when he arrives upon the scene. Once alone, Alison speaks to the portrait of Rebecca and asks if she orchestrated Kevin's disappearance, but at the lighthouse, Lucy's worst fears appear over when she believes Kevin has returned home. Meanwhile, Chris finds Doree hanging from a light fixture, and Doree's inspired seduction of Chris leaves Chris hoping for another encounter.

May 1, 2002 - Ian surprises Lucy with his return to Port Charles, and Ian promises to help Lucy find Kevin. Lucy and Ian sneak into the barn to conduct their own investigation, and while Lucy suspects something has changed in Rebecca's portrait, Lucy remains unable to detect the candle in Rebecca's hand. When Lucy and Ian finally leave, Rebecca steps out of the picture and proclaims that they will never find Kevin. While Mac further questions Alison in Kate's presence, Livvie shocks Jamal with the news that Alison has turned into a witch. Jack fails to convince Livvie to reconsider her views toward Alison, and Jack does his best to dissuade Jamal from believing Alison's claims. Jamal probes Livvie about Rebecca, and Victor's comforting words appear valueless when Livvie finds her father's bloody sweater outside of the barn. Meanwhile, Karen alerts Ricky to Frank's suspicions, and Karen asks Ricky to leave when she sees no end to the growing heat between them. 

May 2, 2002 - Alison fails to make Rebecca step out of the portrait in Jamal's presence, but Rebecca does descend from the painting as soon as Jamal leaves. As Jamal waits outside, Alison probes Rebecca about her intentions. Rebecca gives Alison the candle she used to make Kevin disappear, but Rebecca senses Jamal's return, and rushes back into the portrait.  Jamal tosses the candle into the woods upon his return, and he cautions Alison to stop talking to portraits if she wants to save herself. Livvie plants Kevin's sweater in Alison's car trunk, and Mac and Ian discover the evidence. Meanwhile, James tempts Rafe with pieces of Alison's crumbling life, and fueled with guilt, Rafe continues struggling with temptation. 

May 3, 2002 - James manipulates Rafe to the point of signing a contract for the ownership of his soul by revealing that Alison will take the blame for Kevin's disappearance and supposed death without Rafe's help. Jamal overhears Mac tell Ian that tests proved that Kevin's blood soiled the sweater found in Alison's trunk, and Jamal rushes off to warn Alison of her imminent arrest for Kevin's murder. Livvie refuses to let Jamal stand in the way of Alison's arrest, and Jack remains unable to convince Livvie of her mistakes. Instead, Livvie blames Jack for helping Alison murder Kevin, and Livvie vows to never forgive Jack. Lucy refuses to believe that Kevin has been murdered when Ian arrives with the sobering news, but Lucy remains unable to find an explanation for Kevin's disappearance in her cards. 

May 6, 2002 - Alison tastes life in prison, and Kate warns Alison not to trust probing Mac or any other police personnel. Mac turns his attention from Alison to Jamal, and Jamal denies helping Alison kill Kevin. Jamal visits Alison in jail and admits to hearing Alison blame herself for Kevin's disappearance, and Jamal asks Alison to marry him in order to avoid testifying against her. Jack confronts Livvie about framing Alison, and Livvie grows angry at Jack when she believes Jack only wants to protect Alison, and Livvie even accuses Jack of trying to tape a confession from her. Meanwhile, Rafe bargains with James and ultimately signs over the rights to his soul. James informs Rafe that Rafe must abide by James' schedule, and Ed keeps Rafe from entering Heaven in the meantime. 

May 7, 2002 - Alison admits to Jamal that she already symbolically married Rafe, and Jamal touches Alison when he then offers to help by finding Rafe for her. Doree arrives upon the scene and shocks Alison and Jamal when she reveals that the authorities denied Alison's bail. Ed tries to convince Rafe to let Ed speak to James and to try and reverse Rafe's contract, but Rafe refuses his father's help in favor of possibly helping Alison. Furthermore, Rafe asks Ed not to interfere with his (Rafe's) plans. Frank defends Karen when Mary confronts her about admitting Frank to the mental hospital, but Karen and Frank decide to keep their distance until Frank's condition improves. Stressed Lucy chases the gathering friends and family from her home, and Lucy recalls good times with Kevin after Ian presses Lucy to relax. 

May 8, 2002 - Jamal attempts to help Alison escape from jail and return to Rebecca's portrait by stealing the keys from Doree, but Alison ultimately cannot accept Jamal's generous offer and locks herself back up behind bars. Back in the barn, Rebecca struggles with guilt over Kevin's disappearance, and Rebecca suggests that she can reverse her spell if Alison will return to her. Rebecca determines that she must recover the candle from the woods on her own, but terrifying memories haunt Rebecca and prevent her from venturing outside. Later, Livvie arrives at the barn to confront Rebecca's portrait. Livvie also finds Lucy sharing memories of Kevin with Ian, and misreading the situation, accuses Lucy and Ian of having an affair. Ian scolds Livvie for her thoughtless behavior, and Lucy calms Livvie with speculations that Kevin in fact remains alive. Meanwhile, Ricky tricks Karen into showing up at his apartment, and he lights a candle to promote romance. 

May 9, 2002 - Lucy bails Alison out of jail, and Alison tells Lucy all about her encounters with Rebecca. Lucy steams when Alison reveals that Rebecca made Kevin disappear to prove a point, and Lucy accompanies Alison on her journey back to the barn to get answers from Rebecca. Meanwhile, Livvie fails to coax Rebecca out of her portrait, and Livvie ends up slashing the picture in anger and in hope of preventing more evil from descending upon Port Charles. Livvie flees with scissors in hand when Lucy and Alison arrive, and Livvie stumbles upon returned yet unconscious Rafe as Alison shrieks at the sight of the destroyed painting. Ed ignores Rafe's previous request and interferes with Rafe's destiny by cutting a deal with James to save Rafe's soul. Meanwhile, Ricky admits to Karen that he utilized the powerful candle to attract her attention. Karen fumes further when Ricky also confesses that he tested the lit candle on Frank, but Karen cools when she realizes that an explanation exists for Frank's odd behavior. 

May 10, 2002 - Alison blames Livvie for trashing Rebecca's portrait, and panicked Lucy unleashes her pent up emotional energy on Alison when Alison reveals that their chances of finding Kevin ended with the destruction of the painting. Alison and Lucy hear something in the woods, and reviving Rafe prevents Livvie from escaping, but both Livvie and Rafe remain undetected. Alison longs for Rafe's help, as Livvie threatens to kill Rafe if he intends to rescue Alison, but memory of Alison appears erased from Rafe's mind. Meanwhile, Jack and Jamal commiserate over their lost loves, and Jamal admits that he wants Alison back. Jack confides in Jamal that he witnessed Rebecca's likeness in the photographs that he took at the barn, and the two manage to capture Rebecca's image and thus prove her existence on Polaroid film. 

May 13, 2002 - Alison dreams of Rafe returning to her, and Rafe's reappearance negates all the charges against Alison and transports her back into a perfect world with Rafe by her side. Livvie discerns that Rafe cannot remember anything about Alison, and Livvie gains Rafe's sympathy by informing him that Alison murdered Kevin. Jamal and Jack figure out that the man in the photos with Rebecca supposedly died by Rebecca's hand, and Jamal and Jack fear that Alison will meet the same end as Rebecca, so they work to uncover the remainder of Rebecca's story. Meanwhile, James presses Ed to sign contracts giving James the rights to both Rafe and Ed's souls should Rafe not reconnect with Alison in the allotted time. Ed puts pen to pad, and he wills his son to follow his heart, hoping true love will lead him back to Alison. 

May 14, 2002 - Lucy and Ian share an emotional battle over the possibility that Kevin may never return, and Ian explains to Lucy that he does not want her to suffer in the same manner that he has over Eve. Lucy still maintains that Kevin is alive, and Lucy receives a message from beyond when Ian leaves to get some fresh air. Jamal and Jack inform Alison that her future looks less than bright if she continues traveling down the same road as Rebecca, and Alison shares Rebecca's story with Jamal and Jack. Jack snaps some more photos to see if a further correlation exists between Alison and Rebecca's life. As a result, Alison, Jamal and Jack suspect that Kevin may still reside in the land of the living when they examine the newly developed pictures. Meanwhile, Karen visits Frank, and the two reunite after Karen eases Frank's mind by explaining how the candle caused his irrational behavior. 

May 15, 2002 - Lucy convinces Victor that Kevin wants to communicate with her, but Lucy and Kevin's joint efforts to make contact with Kevin appear to fail. However, Kevin finally makes his presence known through Lucy and "automatic writing", and when Victor asks Kevin about his whereabouts, Kevin conveys that he is lost. Rafe questions Livvie about his forgotten life, and Livvie keeps Rafe from learning the truth. Livvie claims to fear Alison's wrath, and Rafe secretly thrills Livvie when he offers to protect her from Alison.  However, when Livvie prepares to fill Rafe's head with more lies in the morning, Livvie finds that Rafe has vanished. Meanwhile, Alison, Jack and Jamal hope to gain Kate's approval with their exciting new evidence, and the three walk in on Kate refusing to exchange information with Ian. Ian observes as Kate strongly advises the three to not repeat their story unless Alison wants to fry for Kevin's murder, and Ian restores the young adults' hope when he suggests that the photos might offer a tangible clue. In the meantime, Ian suggests that Alison take refuge up at his cabin.
