About Dance of the Zeppo

The site was started on August 15th, 1999. I made it because I am a huge B/X 'shipper, for some reasons that you can read here. There's only a handful of these kind of sites out there (and they're all really, really great), so I figured, the more the merrier. I also knew it couldn't hurt to add one more, since we need to show people how great Buffy and Xander would be together. We're not crazy people--most of us-- and most sites will tell you great reasons on why B/X.

Ok, most of you are probably wondering why the site is called "Dance of the Zeppo." Well, I realized that in Buffy and Xander's relationship, there is a sort of pattern revolving around dancing. Xander's adorable line in Prophecy Girl, "I want to dance with you," made, in my opinion, BX history. He then gets his wish in When She Was Bad, when Buffy leads him an extremely hormonal dance. After that, they dance a couple of more terrific times, ("School Hard," "Passion"). Then I read deeply into one expurgated scene from Angel:

XANDER: "Love sucks. Ever since I was in grammar school, it's the same old dance... you dig someone, they dig someone else. And then that someone digs someone else."
WILLOW: "That's the dance."

I really read between the lines on this one. But I have come to the conclusion that the Buffy/Xander relationship has a lot to do with dancing.

I'm sure there are tons of people who don't agree with me reading this right now. That's okay. I think it's fine if you don't have the same thoughts as me. Personally, I'm not the hugest fan of Xander/Willow, (that's my least favorite coupling) but I have visited a number X/W sites to see how those people are thinking. And I have to admit that I wasn't sitting there the whole time saying, "This sucks and it's stupid." I realized that even though I don't think Willow and Xander would be good, a lot of people had some very cool opinions.

That's what I'm trying to do here. If you don't agree with B/X, still check out the site. You may find that the opinions and reasons are not so bad. You might even consider rooting for B/X, or at least deciding that it doesn't suck.
