Laura: How can you say that?
Luke: Because I know you and I know me. And we both did exactly what we had to do
Laura: I'll always feel guilty for that
Luke: For what? For saving your own life?
Laura: No, for the way I did it

Laura: Their not going to give up
Luke: Laura, Stavros Cassadine may have wrecked the last 2 years of our lives but he is not going to touch us anymore. We're together and we're going to stay together. (BIG KISS)
George reports back to Stavros that he delivered the message but it was harder than he thought because security was so tight

Laura, fearing for Luke's safety, pleads with him not to meet Stavros
Luke assures Laura that he will be fine
Another beautiful kiss as Luke is leaving
Everyone is at Kelly's listening to Luke's press conference announcing Laura's return
Lesley and Rick head over to Laura's when they hear on the news that Stavros is in PC to discuss funding for GH
Luke and Stavros come face to face
Stavros: Mr. Mayor Spencer
Luke: Mr. Cassadine
Stavros: Or is it your honor
Luke: Well you can call me whatever you think is appropriate. Have a seat
Stavros: Thank you. I saw you on television
Luke: Did you? I heard you on television
Stavros: How is that?
Luke: When I was in the studio your name was mentioned on air in regards to the financial situation at General Hospital
Stavros: Well that true but that's not why I wanted to see you
Luke: Really?
Stavros: I was very interested in what you had to say about Laura
Luke: My wife?
Stavros: Precisely
Luke: So tell me what does my wife have to do with the financial situation at General Hospital?
Stavros: I intend to visit the hospital tomorrow after that I plan on being on a plane back to my island
Luke: So soon?
Stavros: I know what you think
Luke: I wish you would tell me what I think because at the moment I don't know what to think
Stavros: I want you to know that I have not come to take Laura away from you
Luke: Is that right?
Stavros: I know that my marriage to her was invalid. I realize now that she was married to you at the time
Luke: A mere technicality
Stavros: Not in the eyes of the law
Luke: Or mine
Stavros: You do realize that when Laura and I married we believe you were dead
Luke: Of course
Stavros: Its true
Luke: I believe you, of course I believe you. What about now?
Stavros: I have come to tell you that I have closed that chapter in my life
Luke: A short book
Stavros: Laura rewrote the ending
Luke: I see. (Luke pulls the necklace out from his desk draw) What do you call this? A good bye present?
Stavros: In a way yes
Luke: Couldn't you afford something that didn't need to be fixed
Stavros: You seem tot understand. It means that our marriage is broken. I no longer have any claim on Laura
Luke: You better believe it
Stavros: I beg your pardon
Luke: I hate fencing Mr. Cassadine. Can we get to the point?
Stavros: I'm listening
Luke: I know who you are. I know what you do. I know a lot about your family and the power that they have and how they use it. I know everything about you. Is that pointed enough?
Stavros: Eloquently
Luke: I don't want you to every touch my wife again
Stavros: I have no intention of doing so
Luke: Good. You know I shall like to kill you for what you did to her but that would be pointless but I'll tell you this if you every touch her again I will kill you
Stavros: You are very sure of yourself but I have no quarrel with you or with Laura. Why would I touch her now?
Luke: So you came all the way to Port Charles to give us your blessing
Stavros: One does not hand over ones wife on the telephone mayor Spencer!
Luke: I understand that so it looks like we understand each other now
Stavros: I hope so
Luke: I'm counting on it
Stavros: I wish you and Laura every happiness
Laura freaks out when she receives flowers from Stavros
Rick and Lesley come to stay with Laura until Luke gets home
Robert comes to see Luke after Stavros leaves
Luke: No I'm ok Robert. It's Laura that I am worried about
Robert: With good reason
Luke: You reading my mail?
Robert: I watch a little television
Luke: Sit down. Thanks for coming by
Robert: I'm glad to do it but I would like a bit more notice
Luke: What do you mean?
Robert: You know how I hate to miss out on the good times
Luke: Somebody told you he was here?
Robert: Ramsey is assigned to him. What happened?
Luke: You didn't miss anything
Robert: I don't know about that. I kind of like to watch you dance the light fantastic on a high wire
Luke: I'll bet you do. Hang on I could be giving a second show
Robert: You took a big risk meeting Stavros alone in this room
Luke: It was all very civilized
Robert: I don't have to remind you that the Cassadines are not good losers
Luke: No you don't. I'm just hoping Stavros bought my spiel on TV
Robert: You really believe that?
Luke: What choice do I have?
Robert: To be on the safe side, I assigned Ramsey to him for the duration of his visit here
Luke: Well I guess that can't hurt
Robert: Maybe not. Perhaps I have slowed up a bit from the last year or two
Luke: You want to bet your life on that
Robert: No but my life isn't in the noose here. And your right its wishful thinking
Luke: You know I don't want to be disrespectful to Burt or anything but if you have Ramsey on his tail he's going to know it
Robert: I intend him to. I want him to know that the police are onto his game. That being the case he might stick to the straight and narrow for a while
Luke: Then we're buying time for Laura
Robert: For both of you> Look if it wasn't for you she would still be his wife. He's not going to accept that…ever
Luke: Well that's tough grape leaves
Robert: Luke, I will do whatever I have to to protect the both of you. In the mean time what are you going to do?
Luke: Go home. Kiss my wife. Make up for the last two years
Robert: Well pal I'll walk you out, I might not be seeing you for a while

Robert: I would like to have a little word with you
Stavros: Of course
Robert: Come and step over here to the lounge
Stavros: Where ever you wish. So what's this all about?
Robert: I'd like to inquire as to your business in Port Charles.
Stavros: Is it your normal policy to interrogate all new arrivals?
Robert: All no. You yes
Stavros: I'm flattered
Robert: Well I'm curious. What brings you here?
Stavros: I'm visiting this country to look after the financial interests of my family
Robert: I see
Stavros: As head of the Cassadine empire now it is one of my responsibilities to keep track of all of our donations. I prefer to do this task myself. I am not a man who delegates authority easily
Robert: I understand
Stavros: Does that answer you question?
Robert: Well if that's the only reason you are in Port Charles
Stavros: You expected me to have another?
Robert: Lets just way I would be surprised…no lets say I wouldn't be surprised if you had say personal reasons for wanting to visit here
Stavros: If I did it would be my business not the police
Robert: Not if you had any intentions of harassing any of the citizens of Port Charles
Stavros: Well what ever gave you the idea that I had?
Robert: I think we both know what I am talking about Mr. Cassadine
Stavros: If you are referring to Laura Spencer, I can assure you that that matter is closed. I have no intention of pursuing her. I am not a man who dwells on the past commissioner. I accept the cards that fate has dealt me
Robert: Well you would be the first Cassadine who did. I never knew one yet who could cash in his chips before he won the lot
Luke comes home and relays his meeting with Stavros. Neither Luke nor Laura believes he is being sincere.
Laura begs Luke to run away from Port Charles
Luke: No running. No hiding. We've done that too much in our lifetime
Laura: It may be the only chance we have
Luke: Laura you know better than that. We both know the Cassadines. There is no where we can run. If they really want us, they can find us, they can get us anywhere. We won't let that happen. We are going to stay here and we are going to fight because whatever happens let it happen here. Right now I can't think of anywhere else I want to be
Laura: Neither can I
Luke: What is it about you that I just can't get enough of?
Laura: Well if you stay home from the office you'll get more
Luke: That's it! I'm resigning! Personal reasons. Acute lust
Laura: Is that all I mean to you?
Luke: Isn't that enough?
Laura: For now
