Rose Bouquet
Carter are Lucy are sitting on the couch in Lucy's apartment watching James Cameron's "Titanic", enjoying their weekend off. Lucy looks up into Carter's eyes.
"I love you"
Carter smiles
"I love you too Lucy Knight"
Carter picked Lucy up into his arms and carried her into her bedroom. Lucy leaned up and kissed Carter passionately as she tried to unbutton her shirt.
Carter looked down at Lucy.
"Are you sure Honey?"
Honey? Carter had called Lucy "honey". Lucy couldn't help but shed a tear and smile.
"I'm sure"
Carter and Lucy gave into a night of passion, neither of them caring what Dr. Greene, or anyone at Cook County thought about them.

The next morning, Lucy woke up and looked over watching Carter's peaceful face. How she wished she could start her day with him beside her forever. She cuddled into Carter's arms and smiled. Carter opened his eyes.
"Morning Honey" Carter said as he leaned down and kisses Lucy on her lips.
"Morning to you too" she said as she kissed back.
"So, what do you want to do today?"
"I don't know" Lucy said in a questioning tone.
"Why don't we just stay in today?"
Lucy smiled and kissed Carter again as she reached up to stroke his face.

Carter and Lucy ate breakfast, then went back to bed. Lucy cuddled back into Carter's arms.
"I love you so much."
"I should have told you how I felt about you a long time ago Lucy."
Carter and Lucy spent the rest of the day kissing and in each others arms.

FOUR WEEKS LATER
Lucy is looking at a small stick.
"How am I going to tell him?"
Lucy layed back on her bed and kept saying 'How do I tell him'?

Carter was at work that day asking himself why Lucy wasn't feeling well. Carter heard someone walking. Carter looked in the mirror.
"Duh Carter! Pull it together. Lucy isn't sick with the flu, she's pregnant!"
Carter looked at the door of the lounge.
"Dr. Greene! How do you know she's pregnant?"
Dr. Greene turned red in the face.
"You've had a rough day Carter, go home."
"Sure"
Carter grabbed his things and walked out.

Back at home, Lucy was waiting for Carter to give him the news. All the time saying to herself "I hope he's happy about it."
Carter walked into the apartment.
"Honey, i'm home."
"I'm in the living room"
Carter walked into the living room and kissed Lucy passionately.
"Feeling better?"
"In a way. I have something to tell you."
Carter nodded and looked at Lucy.
'Just say it' Lucy was saying to herself. Carter knew what she was going to say but he braced himself anyway.
"John Carter, i'm pregnant."
John Carter couldn't help but beam and hugged Lucy.

Carter nor Lucy told anyone that Lucy was pregnant, but the staff pretty much figured it out.
Lucy got off an hour before Carter.
"I'll see you at home honey" Carter said as he kissed Lucy goodbye.
The ER wasn't about to let Carter go without a congrads. Ross brought out the best wine he could find at eight dollars a bottle.
"Cheapskate!" Carol Hathaway yelled at Doug as he opened the bottle.
Jerry looked at Carter.
"So I guess all that about Exam 6 was true"
Carter trned red in the face and reached back to punch Jerry but stopped.
"So what if she was my student? I'm in love with her, she's carrying our child, and you think i'm worried about what happened two years ago?!"
Jerry shut up fast. Carter grabbed his things and went home but not before stopping at two places.

Carter walked into the apartment holding a bouquet of red roses behind his back. Carter showed Lucy the roses and she kissed him passionately.
"Read the card"
Lucy took the card from the roses, and read it aloud.
"To the love of my life, will you marry me?"
Lucy was shocked! By the time she had looked up, Carter was on one knee in front of her with a diamond ring.
"Well, are you going to marry me or not?"
Lucy started crying.
"Yes! As many times as you want! I'll be your wife! I love you!"
Carter jumped up and kissed Lucy, and slipped the ring on her ring finger. After all this time, he was going to be with the woman he loved for all time.
