Previously on ER: Carter and Lucy reval their feelings for each other.

Lucy was laying on her bed, thinking about the night she had with Carter. She got a warm feeling every time she thought about it, she knew it must be love.
Carter was laying on his bed in Kerry's basment and just couldn't stop thinking about Lucy. That dance, that kiss, her hand in his. It was nothing but heaven for the young doctor that had plans to be the Chief Resident next year. Both Carter and Lucy fell asleep shortly there after.

The next day at work, Kerry dropped some bad news on Carter in the lounge.
"Carter!"
"What is it Kerry?'
"Carter, I have to ask you to leave the basment. Its not personal, but my landlord is making me. I'm sorry"
"Kerry, I need a place to go first. Let me look fo an apartment, and i'll let you know when i'll leave"
"Okay"
Lucy was outside the Lounge and heard the whole thing. She felt her heartbeat quicken knowing that Carter was now looking for a place to live. Thoughts were starting to go through her head.
'Should I ask him?' Lucy kept saying to herself. The thought of living with someone had never crossed her mind. Even when Dale suggested it to her last year before they broke up. She told Dale no without any resistance. This time, things were different. She was in love with Carter, and she knew Carter was in love with her.

Later that day, a young man and woman came into the ER. Lucy was assigned them.
"Hello, i'm Lucy Knight. What's the problem?"
The young woman spoke up.
"I'm pregnant with our first child and I was hit in the stomach by one of my students."
"How far along are you Mrs?"
"Hammond. Ellen Hammond"
That's when Lucy noticed the man that was beside her. He was the singer in the club that night. Lucy looked up at the man.
"You're quite a singer sir."
"Thank you, Ms. Knight. I try."
"I'm about 6 weeks along" the lady said to convert the attention back to her.
Lucy did an ultrasound on Ellen. Lucy pointed to the screen and both David and Ellen smiled.
"Everything looks fine Mr. and Mrs. Hammond. But you might want to check with your OB Mrs. Hammond to make sure."
The young couple nodded and left.
Lucy found her thoughts wondering "Maybe that will be me and Carter someday."

Carter was sitting on the steps on his break saying to himself "I'm broke! Where am I going to find an apartment?!"
Lucy saw him and sat down beside him.
"What's wrong, John?"
There she goes again, calling him John.
"Kerry kicked me out of the basment, that's what's wrong and I have to find an apartment and i'm broke!"
This was the moment that Lucy was waiting for. Does she ask Carter to live with her or not? Lucy takes in a deep breath and speaks.
"Why don't you move in with me, John?"
Carter looks shocked
"What did you say?!"
Lucy looks into Carter's eyes and can't help but smile.
"Move in with me, John Carter"
Carter was floored! He loved Lucy very much, but living with her? All he could say to himself was 'The woman I love is asking me to live with her? Your mouth better say yes!'
Carter looked back at Lucy.
"Yes, i'll move in with you! I love you!"
Carter planted a kiss on Lucy lips. Lucy couldn't help but kiss back.
