In a recent story from the German edition of the fashion magazine Marie Claire, actor Brad Pitt is quoted as saying that his wife is expecting a child.
"No. 1 is already on the way," Pitt was quoted as saying. "Now we're just hoping that everything goes well."
Aniston's publicist confirmed to Zap2it.com Monday (July 23) that the actress is not pregnant.
Pitt, he says, never said that Aniston was expecting and, in fact, has not recently been interviewed by the magazine.
Questions regarding Aniston's pregnancy started after the season finale of her NBC comedy "Friends," when during the last moments of the series, it was revealed that her character got a positive response on a pregnancy test.
Up until now, both Pitt and Aniston have denied that that they are expecting a child, although Pitt has said that the couple is planning to eventually have children.
"The planning is under way, negotiations are taking place, and I'm willing to predict a successful conclusion," Pitt told Reuters earlier this month.
Aniston, 32, and Pitt, 37, were married last July in an outdoor ceremony in Malibu, CA.
