Happy 1st, Brad & Jen!

July 18, 2001

From TOM & NICOLE, to JULIA & BEN, to DENNIS & MEG -- you definitely need a scorecard to keep track of all the celebrity couple splits in recent months. But one high-profile couple for whom the fires still seem to be burning brightly is BRAD PITT and JENNIFER ANISTON.

The couple married last July 29 in a picture-perfect ceremony atop a Malibu seaside cliff. And now, as they approach their first anniversary of wedded bliss, Us Weekly magazine reports that the bond between the two is stronger than ever.

According to the magazine, in their first married year there has been no shortage of evidence that the celebrity couple's union is the perfect love match. On Valentine's Day, Brad reportedly filled Jennifer's "Friends" dressing room with flowers, and spelled out "I LOVE MY WIFE" in rose petals on the wall.

Mrs. Pitt (Jennifer took Brad's name legally, but keeps her maiden name professionally) has returned Brad's love by visiting his many film locations. Us Weekly reports that she flew to visit him in Europe on the set of 'Spy Game' last fall, and to Nevada to the set of 'Ocean's 11' this past spring.

And the magazine reports that the couple now has the dream love nest: in June they paid an estimated $12-14 million for their six-bedroom French Provincial-style mansion in Beverly Hills, where they plan to start a family together. The only question that remains, according to US Weekly, is how big that family will get. Reportedly, Jennifer has two to three children in mind, but Brad wants seven!

Among the other revelations about Brad and Jennifer in the article: On their second date in 1998, they ordered dinner in and had steak and mashed potatoes on Jennifer's couch; Brad spent seven months working with a designer on Jennifer's engagement ring, a diamond spiral symbolizing infinity; To stay close when they are apart due to work, they peek at each other via tiny Webcams mounted on their computers.
