SU-TV News will have a new look
when we return in Fall 2003.
SU-TV NEWSWEEK will be the new
name of the show this fall, and not only will the show now be increased to
thirty (30) minutes, we will have a whole new set accompanied by new
segments throughout the broadcast.
The department will be divided
into sub-departments which will include;
AROUND CAMPUS: Featuring
hot topics and events right here on campus
COMMUNITY WATCH: Bringing
you local news from around the area
WORLD REPORT: Giving this
weeks top headlines from around the world
FOR YOUR HEALTH: Tips on
how to live a healthy life and top stories from new developments in the
medical community
PEOPLE SCENE: Giving you
a brief overview on the gossip in the Entertainment World
WEATHER CENTER: Bringing
you local and accurate weather coverage.
The department is produced and
aired entirely by students and new members are always welcome. Auditions for
anchor positions are held at the beginning of each semester.
Students participating will have
an opportunity to get hands on experience on the basics of producing,
reporting, editing television photography, and in-studio operation.
Shippensburg also has a unique
opportunity for all students. Ship is one of the few schools to own their
very own live truck which may be used for broadcasting LIVE events.
Anyone interested in joining the
