Burke Published: March 18, 2009 Services for James Ronald Burke, 62, of Belton will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Temple Garden of Memories Cemetery. Mr. Burke died Friday, March 13, in a Temple hospital. He was born April 9, 1946, in Drumright, Okla., to James and Margie Brown Burke. He was a high school graduate and went on to serve two years in the U.S. Army. He married Melinda Burke in Bell County in 1991, and she preceded him in death. He lived in Belton for 26 years and was a member of the Belton VFW Post No. 4008. Survivors include a brother, Garry Burke; and three sisters, Patricia Scott, Margie Fluharty and Wendy Payne. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of your choice. Hewett-Arney Funeral Home in Temple is charge of arrangements.
