Gambian Giant Pouched Rat
Cricetomys gambianus
Size: 10 to 17 inches long with a tail of the same length. 2 to 7 lbs.
Housing: At least 2'x2'x3'high wire cage. Must have solid metal floor and platforms. No plastic or wood.
Food: Omnivore - fruits, vegetables, rodent lab block, dry dog or cat food, nuts, seeds & grains
Lifespan: 6 to 8 years
Special Needs/Habits: Males are very territorial and should not be housed together.
