"Totally, for sure, I just got a manicure. The sun, I swear, is bleaching out my hair," I heard someone screeching. I turned and looked at the person standing behind me. It was Isaac.

He was dancing around like an idiot. His black hair was no longer in a mohawk, but hanging down long. He looked nice without all of his make-up on. Also, he'd taken out of all of the rings, and you couldn't see the piercings at all unless you looked closely. I smiled at him, and he smiled back. He abruptly stopped dancing.

"I'm really sorry about last night," he said.

"Don't mention it," I said, smiling.

"You're...Alex, right?"

"Right," I confirmed. He sat down beside me on the floor in front of the TV. He plugged in the extra controller for the 64.

"Save your game and set it for two-player," he commanded. I made a face.

"But...I'm doing WELL for once. I suck at video games."

"I'll drag back out my cheerleader multiple personality."

I quickly saved the game, and reset it for two players. I shortly found myself getting my tooshy whipped by a certain Isaac Hanson.

By the end of the evening, I found that Ike was actually pretty cool. He said he liked Manson and music like that, and that he enjoyed wearing his make-up and piercings for the reaction he got. "Plus," he said, "it's really comfortable."

And, considering that Nicky had completely forgotten me, it was nice to have SOMEONE to talk to. At dinner, Ike made sure to sit by me, and make me feel somewhat loved. Nicky seemed to be completely wrapped up in his own little world.

I guess that was when after the table had been cleared away, I was more than happy to tag along with Isaac to the movies. Why on earth a 20-year-old wanted to hang out with a sophomore in high school was beyond me, but I knew I liked the attention.
