WILLIAM C. "BILL" NICHOLS, 87, was born on
Dec. 28, 1902 and died Feb. 16, 1990, while living
in Fort Worth, TX. He was in the Ranger High
School Class of 1923 at Ranger, TX & married
Hoyet Wade (RHS-1929). J.D. Nichols (RHS-1930)
was his brother.
WIFE: HOYET WADE NICHOLS, 99, a resident of
Fireside Lodge Healthcare Center in Fort Worth,
TX went home to be with the Lord on April 26, 2011
only 26 days shy of 100 years. Burial was in Ever-
green Cemetery at Ranger, TX.
Hoyet was born May 22, 1911 in Lingleville, TX,
and was the oldest of seven children and the only
girl. Hoyet worked for Hollywood Vassarette in
Eastland, TX, for 22 years.
Her husband, William "Bill" Nichols, preceded Hoyet
in death in 1990. Bill worked in the Ranger Post
Office for 33 years. They lived in Ranger for more
than 50 years where they were member of the First
Baptist Church. They moved to Fort Worth in 1983
to be closer to family members and to share in
the lives of their children and grandchildren.
Hoyet was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, &
great-grandmother.
She was also preceded in death by her parents
Matthew and Salla Wade, brothers, Horace, Hurst L.,
H.E., William Hargus, Harlan Jr. Wade and sisters-
in-law, Elfreda, Marian and Sue Wade. She was devoted
to her family and her church, Trinity Baptist Church.
SURVIVORS: son Billy Mac Nichols (RHS-1954) and wife
Sue Garrett Nichols (RHS-1957) of Katy, TX; daughter
Barbara Lynn McPherson (RHS-1956) and husband Howard
McPherson of Fort Worth, TX; five grandchildren;
Kelly Nichols of Pflugerville, TX, Kim Abbrat and
husband Kevin of Cypress, TX, Jeff Nichols and wife
Nicole of Reading, MA, Scott McPherson and wife Melissa
of Springtown, TX and Mickey McPherson and wife Michele
of River Oaks, TX, and ten great-grandchildren; Kelsey,
Kaleb, Konner and Kristianna Abbrat of Cypress, TX,
Jessica and Logan McPherson of Springtown, TX, Levi
and Faithlyn McPherson, of River Oaks, TX, and Zachary
and Elena Nichols of Reading, MA.
She is also survived by one brother: Herman Wade of Ft.
Worth, and sisters-in-law Louise Wade of Albuquerque,
NM and Ruth Nichols of Dallas, as well as numerous
nephews and nieces, plus many dear friends.
