JUANITA KIMBROUGH WARDEN, age 87, a lifelong resident
of Ranger, TX, passed away on Dec. 9, 2006, with burial
at Evergreen Cemetery in Ranger.
Born Oct. 28, 1919 in Ranger to General Onard Kimbrough
& Fannie {Rice} Kimbrough. She was a graduate of Ranger
High School & Ranger Jr College. She married Coach O.C.
Warden (RHS-1935) in August of 1936 at Mt. Pleasant, TX.
He preceded her in death in 2004.
She was the Assistant Librarian for Ranger College for 24
years. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church
in Ranger where she taught the beginners class for 50 years.
She was a founding member & Director of the Ranger Historic
Preservation Society and the Ranger Exes Association. She
also was active in the American Cancer Society.
She is survived by: daughter, Marilyn Cundiff (RHS-1960) and
husband Ray, of Dallas; son, Colonel Ret. Jerry Warden (RHS-
1965) and wife Dian, of San Antonio; three grandchildren,
Cynthia Young of Kingwood, Major Mark Warden on duty in the
U.S. Army, Kimberly Stein and husband Peter, of Memphis,
TN; & two great grandchildren, Will and Elizabeth Ann Stein,
and a brother, Joe Kimbrough (RHS-1943) of Abilene. Johnny
Kimbrough (RHS-1935) was also her brother.
