JEWEL EVELYN HARRIS SWAIM passed away on
Jan. 3, 2019 in Austin, TX.
Jewel was born one of seven children in Ranger, TX
to Elmer & Clementine Harris. She graduated from
Ranger High School in May of 1944. She married her
beloved husband, Ralph J. Swaim, in 1959, and they
enjoyed almost 60 years together in Fort Worth
before his death in 2017. Together they built the
Swaim Air Conditioning Company, where she worked
for several years as the bookkeeper.
Survivors are her son, Jay Swaim & wife, Kristen;
granddaughter, Chloe and husband, Dalton Davis;
granddaughter, Olivia Swaim; and many nieces,
nephews and relatives who all adored her very
much. Her siblings were Clifford Harris (RHS-1955),
Wanda Harris Herring (RHS-1947), Claude Harris
(RHS-1950), Hazel, & Maxine.
