CLAUDE HARRIS, JR., 75, passed away on Oct. 21,
2007 at a Fort Worth TX hospital, with burial in
Evergreen Cemetery at Ranger, TX.
Claude was born March 26, 1932, to Elmer Claude &
Clementine Hinesley Harris in Strawn. The family
moved to Ranger when he was only 6 weeks old. He
attended Ranger High School in the Class of 1950.
After finishing school, he joined the Army and
served during the Korean War. Upon returning from
the service he worked for General Dynamics, now
Lockheed. He retired after 43 years and returned
to his home in Ranger.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters,
Hazel Couch and Maxine Russell; brother, Clifford
Harris (RHS-1955); & brothers-in-law, Grady Couch
and L.B. Herring.
Survivors: sisters, Jewel Harris Swaim (RHS-1944)
and husband, Ralph, Nell Harris Garrett and husband,
Edward, Wanda Harris Herring (RHS-1947); brother-
in-law, Floyd Russell; sister-in-law, Carol Harris;
five nieces; seven nephews; and special dog, Little
Bit.
