BARBARA HEALER CROUCH, 86, beloved mother
and grandmother, was called to her eternal resting
place on Jan. 28, 2021, with burial in Malakoff
Cemetery.
She entered this world on Oct. 19, 1934 in Ranger,
TX, born to Grady & Pearl Healer. Barbara attended
Ranger High School in the Class of 1951 and married
her beloved husband, with whom she is now with, for
66 years. She was a teacher in Malakoff for 25 years,
she was a member of First Baptist Church, Cedar Creek
Lakers, Star Harbor Auxiliary, and the Retired Teacher
Association.
She is preceded in death by her husband; Melvin Crouch,
parents; Grady Healer, Pearl Healer Wheat, step-father;
Curt Wheat, and brother Jammie Healer (RHS-1950).
She is survived by her daughter; Tammy & husband Wyle
McClintock, son; Jim and wife Shirley Crouch; sister-
in-law; Joyce McDonald, grandchildren; James and wife
Candace McClintock, Katy and husband Sean Madden,
Meredith and husband Caleb Spaw, and Zachary Crouch.
Her legacy continues with her great-grandchildren;
Brenden, Drew, and Lily McClintock, Presly, Chloe,
and Kayla Madden, and a great-great granddaughter;
Olivia.
HUSBAND: MELVIN EDWARD CROUCH, 84, of
Malakoff, TX went home to be with the Lord May 7,
2019, with interment at the Malakoff Cemetery.
Melvin was born Dec. 1, 1934 in Leon County, TX to
Thurman Edward Crouch & Elma B Crouch. He married
the love of his life Barbara Healer Crouch 66 years
ago. They moved to Malakoff in 1965. Melvin retired
from Nipak & TVCC. He was a welder by trade.
He and Barbara were members of First Baptist Church,
Malakoff. After retirement, he enjoyed spending
his time helping with Meals on Wheels, playing golf,
and travel with the Cedar Creek Lakers. He is a
member of the hole in one club at Star Harbor.
He is preceded in death by his parents Thurman and
Elma Crouch.
Melvin is survived by his loving wife Barbara, daughter
Tammy McClintock and husband Wyle, son Jim Crouch and
wife Shirley, sister Joyce McDonald, grandchildren
James McClintock and wife Candace, Katy Madden and
husband Sean, Meredith Crouch, and Zachary Crouch.Â
His legacy continues with his great-grandchildren
Brenden, Drew and Lily McClintock, Presly, Chloe,
and Kayla Madden.
