MAC KAY JONES, 74, of Ranger, TX passed away
at his home on July 29, 2012, with burial at J–
Cemetery on the family ranch near Ranger, TX.
He was born on June 25, 1938 in Morton Valley, TX,
to Charles Douglas & Mary Inez McKay Jones. Mac
graduated from Ranger High School in 1956. He married
Nancy Graham (RHS-1958) in Feb. of 1958 at Breckenridge,
TX and was an area cattleman. He was a member of the
Mesquite & Rusk Church of Christ. Mac was a beloved
husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers: G.W.
Jones and Charles Jones (RHS-1943); & sister: Wanda
Jones England (RHS-1947).
Survivors at the time of his death, include his wife:
Nancy Jones of Ranger; daughter: Kay Dobbs (RHS-1976)
and husband Mark (RHS-1976); son: Cody Jones (RHS-1978);
daughter: Kellie Dobbs (RHS-1980), all of Ranger; grand-
children: Cody Jones, Jr. (RHS-1996), Clinton Jones
(RHS-1998) and wife Pam, and their mother Theresa,
Clayton Dobbs (RHS-1999) and fiancé Vickie Moore,
Kakki Pittman (RHS-2003) and husband Chris, Jerry
Dobbs (RHS-2004) and wife Monica, Cole Dobbs (RHS-2008)
and wife Christina; great-grandchildren: Madison Jones,
Kirsten Jones, Kenleigh Jones, Tayton Jones, Briar
Pittman, Hayes Pittman, Brystal Pittman, Pipper Dobbs,
Ryder Dobbs, Kylann Dobbs, Casen Dobbs, Mayci Dobbs,
and Hayden Dobbs. His sister is Joyce Jones Gilley
(RHS-1951).
