LINDA BLACK WIMPRINE, 70, went to be with the Lord on
Aug. 8, 2011 at her home in Conroe, TX, with interment
in Mt. Marion Cemetery at Strawn, TX.
Linda was born on May 15, 1941 In Abilene, TX, to John
Lee Black & Callie Cloer Black. She graduated from
Ranger High School in 1959 at Ranger, TX and attended
the 50th Anniversary Class Reunion in 2010. Linda
married David Wimprine in Dec. of 1984 in Abilene
and had worked as an accountant. Linda loved to cook,
sew, crafts, and do ceramics. She was a member of the
Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Marion Black
Roberson (RHS-1956).
Survivors at the time of her death include her husband,
David; one son, Lee Jumper and wife Leah; three daughters,
Melinda Traynor and husband Steve, Laura Rex and husband
Donnie and Lisa Altum and husband Todd; one step-son,
David Wimprine, Jr. and wife Denise; two brothers, Ealy
Black and wife Mary, Loran Black (RHS-1948) & wife Anita,
half-brother, John Paul Black and wife Carol; one half-
sister, Mary Martha Vittrut; twelve grandchildren, Luke
Richey, Katy Richey, Callie Richey, Jared Smith, Autumn
Smith, Haley Rex, Christopher Hoover, Cassie Altum, Austin
Jumper, Landon Jumper, Aiden Jumper, and Brittney Stringer;
three great-grandchildren, Isabelle Mendoza, Austin Lee
Jumper and Peyton Jumper.
