LOU GENE BLEDSOE, 17, died Nov. 26, 1958 in an
accident near Palestine, TX when a plow struck a gas
line causing it to explode. He had been working
as a laborer for R.M. Sneed Contractors of Eastland
for about three months. Burial was at the Evergreen
Cemetery in Ranger, TX.
He was born on Dec. 31, 1940 in Wichita Falls, TX,
to James & Lillian (Willett) Bledsoe Gene attended
Ranger High School in the Class of 1959.
Survivors at the time of his death include his mother;
two brothers, James C. Bledsoe, Jr., with the Air Force
in Spain and William L. Bledsoe (RHS-1956) of Ranger;
and four sisters, Mrs. George E. Dumith of Mingus, Mrs.
Violet Bledsoe Robinson (RHS-1951) & Barbara Bledsoe
(RHS-1963), both of Ranger, and Virginia Bledsoe of
Springfield, MA.
