BARBARA BLEDSOE LEWIS, 68, of Breckenridge, TX,
went to be with The Lord on June 22, 2013, with interment
at the Evergreen Cemetery in Ranger, TX.
Barbara Ellen Bledsoe was born Dec. 12, 1944 in Ranger,
TX to parents James Bledsoe & Lillian Willitt Bledsoe.
She attended Ranger High School in the Class of 1963
and acquired her Bachelors Degree from Midwestern
University in Applied Arts & Sciences. In 1976, Barbara
went to work for TXU/Oncor and continued to work there
until she retired in 2006 after 27 years of dedicated
service. She married James Lewis in March of 1967 in
Eastland, TX. Barbara was a member of the Rotary Club,
assisted with the Rebuild Breckenridge Project, Carter
Blood Drives and she also enjoyed gardening. Barbara
was an active member of the Bethany Baptist Church and
was involved in the food pantry ministry.
She was preceded in death by her mother & father; two
brothers, Gene Bledsoe (RHS-1959) and Leonard Bledsoe
(RHS-1956); and two sisters, Inez Dumith and Virginia
Terry.
At the time of her death, Barbara was survived by her
husband, James Lewis of Breckenridge; two children,
James Lewis, Jr. & wife Nikki of Ruidoso Downs, New
Mexico and Melissa Thompson and husband Bobby of
Breckenridge; one sister, Violet Bledsoe Daskevich
(RHS-1951) of Breckenridge; one brother, Jim Bledsoe
and wife Sharon of Houston; seven grandchildren, Kay
Reed, Cheyenne Nease, Colton Lewis, Zaine Lewis,
Lauren Thompson, Morgan Thompson and Logan Thompson;
one great-grandchild, Noah James Nease.
