JOHNNY MARVIN McGEE, 70, passed away on Oct. 29,
2018, with interment at Evergreen Cemetery in Ranger,
TX.
Johnny was born August 30, 1948 in Ranger, TX, the
son of Marvin E. (RHS-1942) & Louise V. (Daskevich)
McGee. He graduated from Ranger High School as
Salutatorian of his Class of 1966 at Ranger, TX,
with highest honors from Tarleton State University,
& completed graduate studies at Texas Tech University
and University of North Texas.
Johnny began working at Texas Refinery Corp in 1972
and spent over 40 years with the company. He traveled
to sales meetings in every state except Alaska and
retired in 2013 as Vice President and Regional Credit
Manager. He cherished the close friendships & working
relations he held with many of the employees at Texas
Refinery. An avid sports enthusiast of both professional
and local teams, he liked golfing with his Fort Worth
buddies and his gardening, especially raising okra. He
greatly enjoyed taking care of his grand-daughter and
spending time with his family including cousins, nephews
and nieces.
A longtime member of Holy Family Catholic Church where
he served as a Lector, Johnny participated in small
church groups and helped mentor couples in Marriage
Preparation class.
Survivors: wife of 37 years, Sharon McGee; sons, Matthew
Marvin McGee and Trenton John McGee and his wife, Rachel;
granddaughter, Elizabeth Ella McGee; mother, Louise V.
McGee; sister, Mary Louise McGee (RHS-1969) Price and
her husband, Jack Sr.; and his fur babies.
