JIMMY WILL BATTLE, 56, of Ranger, TX, died Feb. 27,
2005 in Eastland, TX, with burial in Evergreen
Cemetery at Ranger.
Mr. Battle was born on Oct. 15, 1948 in Munich,
Germany to Jewell Lowe & James Battle. He attended
school in Ranger including Ranger High School in
the Class of 1967 & in his younger years worked at
Adams' Grocery as a butcher. Most recently he worked
for CMR Railroad as a crane operator. He married
Phyllis Harjo in Oct. of 1993 in Holdenville, OK.
He was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church.
Mr. Battle is survived by his wife Phyllis of the home,
children Jason, April and Cecil of the home, sons David
Battle (RHS-1996) of Gatesville, Jason Battle of Clifton,
and Tim Battle of North Carolina, brother James Battle
(RHS-1973), sister Lola Battle Douglas (RHS-1980) of
Stephenville, grandchildren Tay Battle of Clifton and
Tim Battle, Jr., of North Carolina, numerous nieces
and nephews and many friends who will miss playing
dominoes with him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son Jimmy Battle,
Jr., daughter Tansiann Battle and aunt Leona Battle.
