CONTENTS: Poem by Gary Gene Ford --The NIGHT of Hush and Quiet SNOW...

Gary Ford wrote the following

Soliloquy

on inspiration after viewing Stephen Goodfellow's

Winter Snow...

For a Person Contemplating Past:
The NIGHT of Hush and Quiet SNOW
Reveals the Far but ReFound Self!

1998-Dec-22

by Gary G. Ford

I am absorbed in the Blueness of it!
But Y-o-u?!  What do you SEE here?!...

In Myriads of Ways were made
The minds of (wo)men - what is Your Claim?
If the same?...Why do you fear
To speak what is You?!

A DREAMSAFE ENCLOSURE FROM THE COLD NIGHT...
The Intellectual Perception of the Alone Look
Through the Window by the Eye of a Child
Seeing the Quiet Night of Snow
In the faintest of Partial Moonlight...

It IS Blue, Isn't It?!

Like the subtle difference of Day
and Night...
The Special Vision...wishing to be
As Eyes of OWLS...
Or Wild Cats walking in the Darkness
White with the OmniRelfecting
Of all Snow Covered Things...
The World is WHITE and Mirrors
All You Wish!...To be...To live
Again the life of Wonder...
The Air has breathed its blessing
Of Individual Crystals
Gathered

As
a Gathering of Souls
Seeking Long forgotten Truths...
I hestitate to remember these things...
My Child mind inside screams
At the brutality of life
And the Evil Done to me...
And that which I myself
Have done once so unwittingly
And all the precious things
Now I miss...
The Terrible Loss of People Gone.
Dead.
Past.
LOST

Let me too be lost in this fresh wilderness
Of still undisturbed snow
Save the trail of a Rabbit here,
the Hunting Cat there,
The Bird track so few
And far between...
The rolling false hills
So white.
But I would fall
Into their hugging embrace
My feet trapping
The Softness
To slickness...

Forgive me for my errors
Everyone I have touched
But
How will forgivenness do more?...
Than merely salve my tired weariness?!
The air is fresh and clean and cold...
I remember how strange how wonderful
The first time I actually KNEW
I was thinking and feeling these
Things...
I would be a child again.

I will lay my thoughts down
On this Blue Soft Bed
Of white fresh
SNOW....

The Cold Night beckons
The Wind whispers
To my dreams
And I am
Young
Again!

Look Into the Past
If Typos and Grammar Errors Were Horses...
