If typos and grammar errors were horses...

Then I'd run on a race track! ...However!

18 December 1998

When I think of the vile and hostile inspection...
The Teachers of English gave me,
At James Lick High School,
named for the observatory
on Mount Hamilton, where,
I suffered at their hateful hands...
That I - they knew - were rumored good at Science...
Must also therefore be made a fool in "Arts"
Especially Languages, and Essay Composition...
So that Never did they read for content,
But only sought the facile error...

And in their acts of irrelevance could truly say,
They never knew a thought I'd turned...
But Today is MY DAY,
And down the Hill, I cast them!
Down they go,
their Vile and Cunning Ways!...
And huddled in their infirm ancient bodies
Will they know?
Will they comprehend
My revenge?...
Or check with careful evil eye
Again,
For the Typo,
But not the message?
