The oldest of the Heroes, Hellgrin was once a mighty general before retiring to a quiet life of caring for his family on his homestead near Tharbad and pursuing occasional quests with the other Heroes. One of the most skilled heroes, his abilites with a sword were long unmatched, especially considering that he alone carried a plain blade, as opposed to a magical or holy one.
Hellgrin has followed the Heroes on many adventures, and was saddened by the death of his friend, Thain. He has taken his son, a brave young lad of twelve, along with him occasionally to learn the ways of an adventurer. The Heroes have often made Hellgrin's homestead their home, and have their own house built opposite Hellgrin's house in the compound. When he is not adventuring or living a quiet life on the homestead, he can be found here in the Broken Oar, awaiting the next great quest.
