The McMahon family is gone. Out of nowhere Vince decided to sell the whole company to a new and young promoter. The promoter was willing to pay whatever price Vince was asking for. There was only one small catch. This new promoter, known as Rob Warner, wanted the company, but he did not want the staff. When we say staff we don?t mean only the announcers and referees, we mean the entire roster of wrestlers.

When the wrestlers heard of this they were outraged. They went straight to the McMahon family to see if it all was really true, but the McMahon?s were nowhere to be found. It seems as though Vince sold his home, packed up, and moved away. Maineventers such as The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and the newly arrived nWo thought that Rob Warner would surely want them to stay, seeing as they were the reason the WWF was number one. They could not even get in to see Rob Warner though. Each time they went to the WWF Main Offices they were sent away or given legalized documents, which stated they were to leave the WWF, and that they are free to join another promotion with the same names. They had no choice but to leave.
