RUNABOUT AND RUNAMUCKRUNABOUT AND RUNAMUCK

Runabout and Runamuck are collectively known as the Battlechargers (although this term was not used in the continuity in question, it was used in every other continuity, so I choose to apply it here), capable of transforming form robot to vehicle mode and vice versa in under a second. They both transform into stream-lined sports cars, though they did not make many appearances. Runamuck first appeared while the Autobots were investigating a destroyed Earth Defense Command base that crashed to the planet Goo. Kup deduced that it had ben destroyed by death crystals, when the Decepticons showed up. Runamuck was among them, armed with a hand-held death crystal blaster. The Decepticons were soon dealt with. Runamuck's next (and final) appearance was alongside Runabout (in his only appearance), guarding Trypticon on Charr. Starscream's Ghost, posessing Scourge, incapacitated them, and stole one of Trypticon's eyes as part of a bargain with Unicron. Galvatron was so enraged, that he planned to hunt down the Battlechargers for sport inside Trypticon, along with Thrust and Dirge, who had allowed Starscream and Scourge to steal Astrotrain and escape, but then, Starscream's Ghost returned, and possessed Trypticon himself, planing to take his transformation cog to Unicron. However, Thrust, Dirge, and the Battlechargers were able to deactivate Trypticon from within, hence preventing Starscream from using him to make the circuit connections that would link Unicron to Cybertron, which he could use as his new body. Unicron then restored Starscream's body, but the traitorous Decepticon refused to co-operate any further. Explosives planted by the Autobots hurled Starscream and Unicron back into space. Presumably, Trypticon was caught in the blast too, but the saurian city was seen again, as were Thrust and Dirge, and although Runabout and Runamuck were not, if the other three survived the blast, then it seems logical that they did too. Runamuck and Runabout's fates following the restoration of Cybertron's Golden Age are unknown - if they even lived long enough to see it.
