IRONHIDE, JAZZ AND PROWL IRONHIDE, JAZZ, AND PROWL

Ironhide, Jazz, and Prowl are three of Optimus Prime's most loyal and trusted soldiers.

IRONHIDE

It is not clear, but the tough Autobot warrior known as Ironhide may actually be the rebuilt version of Dion, the best friend of Orion Pax.
Ironhide was given the ability to transform into a van by Teletran 1. In this mode, he has a laser cannon mounted in rear, which also doubles as a back-mounted missile launcher in robot mode. In robot mode, Ironhide has various abilities. He has been seen to fire energy blasts from his fists (ref. "Heavy Metal War"), convert his hand into a gun capable of firing adhesive liquid (ref. "Dinobot Island"), generate a stream of liquid nitrogen from his hands (ref. "The Core"), and more. His armour is constructed from a titanium alloy.
Ironhide served Optimus Prime loyally, until 2005, when he, Prowl, Ratchet, and Brawn were piloting a shuttle to Autobot City on Earth to collect energy, but were intercepted by the Decepticons. Brawn and Prowl were promptly killed, then Ratchet and Ironhide fell. In a hopeless attempt at heroicism, Ironhide grabbed Megatron's leg, with a cry of "No!" The Decepticon commander retaliated by blowing up Ironhide's head and upper torso with his fusion cannon.
Ironhide's reamins were kept in the flying Autobot Mausoleum, until it was destroyed by the undead Optimus Prime, thus preventing any chance of restoring Ironhide to life.

JAZZ

Jazz is second in command of the Autobots, and a trusted friend of Optimus Prime.
Teletran 1 gave Jazz the ability to transform into a porsche, reflecting his nature, which humans would undoubtedly describe as "cool". In robot mode, Jazz can convert his right arm into a grappling hook, and can generate intense sound and light shows to dazzle and deafen his opponents. Jazz likes to do a job with style, or else he doesn't bother doing it.
During his time on Earth, Jazz amassed a wide amount of knowledge on it's culture and people. But when the time arose, he did not hesitate to perform his duty to his leader. Along with Cliffjumper, Jazz manned Moonbase One while Optimus Prime departed for Autobot City. However, the monster planet known as Unicron attacked soon thereafter, and consumed the moon, taking Jazz and Clifjumper with him. The two Autobots almost met their end in Unicron's acid filled digestive system, but were saved by Spike Wiwicky's son Daniel, and escaped from within Unicron when Rodimus Prime opened the Matrix.
Jazz was glimpsed briefly once or twice after the events of 2005, but he is now presumed to have gone into retirement.

PROWL

Prowl is the third-in-command of the Autobots.

Prowl has the ability to transform into a police patrol car, in reflection of his former post as security head on Cybertron. In robot mode, he is armed with an acid pellet blaster, which fires small projectiles which explode on impact and release highly corrosive acid, which has been seen to melt human firearms in seconds (ref: "Dinobot Island"). He is also an exemplary warrior with keen detective skills.
Prowl served the Autobot cause well, until the Earth year 2005, when he, Ironhide, Ratchet, and Brawn were piloting a shuttle to Earth to collect energy from Autobot City, when they were boarded by the Decepticons. Brawn was first to fall, then Prowl was shot through the stomach by the Constructicon, Scavenger. Prowl's internal circuits were melted, and his mouth and optics were the last thing to go as his face was reduced to slag. He didn't even see Ratchet and Ironhide die.
What remained of Prowl was kept in the Autobot Mausoleum, until it was destroyed by the undead Optimus Prime, forever preventing any chance of Prowl's return to life.
