BEACHCOMBER, COSMOS, POWERGLIDE, SEASPRAY AND WARPATH MINI-AUTOBOTS

This group of new, even more powerful Mini-Autobots are a valable asset to the forces of the Autobots.

BEACHCOMBER

Beachcomber is an out-and-out pacifist. He will very rarely compromise his peaceful beliefs, even for the sake of winning a battle against the Decepticons. He specialises in geographical and geological information gathering, making his first appearance during the Dinobot Island scenario, putting these talents to good use, helping Chip Chase and Perceptor locate the source of temporal disturbances. Beachcomber's next appearance was a more major event for him - he uncovered a hidden cavern, containing a peaceful ecosystem, and a golden lagoon full of Electrum, and invincible liquid metal, which the Decepticons then used to their advantage in battle with the Autobots. The final battle destroyed not only the lagoon, but also the cavern, leaving Beachcomber traumatised.
Beachcomber transforms into the likeness of an Earthen dune buggy, having presumably been reconfigured by Teletran One upon arrival on Earth. It is unclear if he was present at the Autobot City Massacre of 2005, but he was seen during Trypticon's attack on the Ark in 2006. His final fate following the restoration of Cybertron's Golden Age is unknown.

COSMOS

Cosmos made his first appearance when Megatron struck a deal with a human business tycoon who viewed the Autobots as aliens who had no place on Earth. The human, Berger, helped the Decepticons frame the Autobots for stealing energy, and a public vote resulted in the Autobots banishment from Earth. The Autobots were to return to Cybertron aboard a rocket built by Berger's company, but Megatron reprogrammed it to send them into the sun. Cosmos was the first to discover their predicament, and tried valiantly to reprogramme the rocket, to no avail. However, Chip Chase and Spike Witwicky proved the Autobots' innocence to the mayor of Central City, and they were able to return the Autobots to Earth to stop the Decepticons' growing conquest.
Cosmos transforms into the likeness of a small Earthen satellite. In this mode, he can fly both in and beyond Earth's atmosphere, and is equipped with hi-tech scanning arrays. In robot mode he is armed with a standard blaster. It is unknown if Cosmos was present at the Autobot City Massacre, but it seems unlikely. He was seen once in 2006, when Grimlock gained super-intelligence. His fate following the restoration of Cybertron's Golden Age is unknown.

POWERGLIDE

In his first appearance, Powerglide and Bumblebee discovered a mysterious island where dinosaurs still roamed. At Optimus Prime's request, Powerglide took the Dinobots to the island, so they could train without risk of causing damage to anything else. Laserbeak followed them, and alerted the other Decepticons to the fact that the island was rich in energy. Powerglide left the island shortly before the Decepticons attacked, but when they discovered their plans, the Autobots soon stopped them. Powerglide's other escapades included falling in love with a young human girl named Astoria after he saved her from a Decepticon attack. Quite what became of this girl is unknown.
Powerglide transforms into a miniature Earthen plane, of unknown type - it seems to be a jet of some kind, but has been seen to land on water, indicating it may be a seaplane (Ref: "The Golden Lagoon"). In this mode, Powerglide is armed with a supply of high-impact bombs, which produce and explosion he likes to call "The Ol' Powerglide Pow". Powerglide is a show-off, who's tunt often get him in trouble.
Powerglide was one of the few members of the Autobots from the 20th Century to survive the Autobot City Massacre. While he was seen several times during 2006, his final fate following the restoration of Cybertron's Golden Age is unrecorded.

SEASPRAY

Seapray made his first appearance when the Autobots were caught up in the midst of the Dinobot Island fiasco, helping Cliffjumper and Tracks to dispense a ship of temporally-displaced pirates. He continued to serve as naval tactician for the Autobots, and was once captured alongside Perceptor by Megatron in an attempt to learn Autobot tactical schemes.
Seaspray transforms into a miniature hovercraft. In this mode, he can travel across both water and land, although he has shown a preference for the former. In this mode, he is equipped with a front-mounted sonar scanner. In robot mode, he can also use the propellors he uses for propulsion in hovercraft mode for that purpose. He speaks in a somewhat incoherent gurgling dialogue, although why is not known. Seapray survived the Autobot City Massacre of 2005, and was seen on one or two occasions in 2006.

WARPATH

Warpath first made his mark when he and a group of other Autobots travelled to Dinobot Island to stop the Decepticons' plans there. During the battle, he inflicted serious damage to Skywarp and Blitzwing.
Warpath transforms into a tank. In this mode, his armour is resistant to conventional artillery, and his turret can fire highly powerful blasts of energy. Warpath is youthful and energetic, and always ready for a fight. He is so full of vigour that it is sometimes hard for him to control himself. To relieve the tension, he often screams "BAM!", "ZAP!", or somesuch noise quite suddenly while he is in the middle of talking.
Warpath is known to have survived the Autobot City Massacre, but while he continued to serve the Autobots loyally throughout 2006, his final fate following the restoration of Cybertron's Golden Age is unknown.
