Neckerchief Tying

 Cleaning Tips

White chalk will work on your whites for a fast cover up.

409 cleaner for spot removal.

To clean your combination cover: mix HOT water, a little bleach, a lot of dish soap and than soak the white cover piece. After it sits overnight, rinse it in warm water an work on the dirty parts with a toothbrush using white bar soap or some "ZOUT". Hang dry it and than iron it. Put it back on the cover form while it is still hot from the ironing.

Do not use the quick shine liquid style polish on any shoes, after a while it ruins the shine. Parade Gloss works the best. Use a toothbrush to get into the crevices between the soles and the uppers.

A quick fray fix for ribbons is clear nail polish.

Ribbons can be scotch guarded to help keep them clean.

Tide with bleach works well on Dixie covers and won't turn them yellow.

Simple Green takes out almost any stains on any uniform. Just pour some in the wash machine when you wash your item. Or just spray Simple Green from the bottle to any stains, including ink and old washed and dried stains. (This will also work on your covers.)

On yellowed uniforms "BLUING" in the washer will bring back the whiteness. (Bluing can be found in most grocery stores.)
