Internet Advisory

Aside from the great advantages that the internet has brought us, there
are many dangers surrounding it which users should be aware of before
they begin browsing.

NEVER give your name, credit card number, or any other
personal information out unless you are completely sure that it is a safe, private,
and secure website. Your credit card number should be asked for only when
you are purchasing something, and you must be sure that you are purchasing
from a safe website.

Avoid pop-up ads and banners advertising, despite the offer they may be
presenting. Promises of winning prizes or vacations are generally a good way to
sell a product, get you signed up for something you aren't interested in, or
obtain personal information.

Be cautious of the websites that you are visiting. Also be cautious of chat
rooms, or places where people exchange their personal information. Granting
strangers access or information about you can be dangerous to your
computer, or more importantly, your financial and personal life.

Regardless of where they may appear, do not click on links,
or downloads you are unfamiliar with. Viruses can be easily downloaded from
sites which may seem safe, and unless you are aware of what you are
downloading, and are familiar with who you are downloading from, you can
very easily be stuck with a virus, which can create costly problems, and huge
damage to your computer.

Be safe!!!
