Inside an AGA reef ready overflow |
The Durso-Pipe is a EXCELLENT alternative to the stock overflow kit. Much quieter and lower cost. |
Southdown tropical play sand is next to impossible to find, but I found it here. |
A pair of ball valves and quick disconnects were added between the tank and sump for fine tuning ease. |
Check out the Durso web site in the links section for all of the details. Drilling the air hole on the side works great . |
200lbs of Southdown was introduced to the tank after the water was added. It was done in that order so the sands fine particulates were able to be skimmed out. |
A 20gal long was used as the Sump for this project. Some extra supports were needed for proper weight distribution. |
