Monthly Public Library Trips
The trips will be done every month to public library in the
area.
Our school did take the students to the public library as
period from
12:30 PM – 1:30 PM:
September 18, 2003
Grade 4 – Grade 8
September
24, 2003 Grade 1 – Grade 3
Also the get learned more about the Library and how to use
it, open membership and borrowing the books and taps will help them in
their home works.

Weekly School Library
The students can use
the school library as usual but we did put a time table for each Class
to visit in different time, and we have many books in Arabic, English
and French.

Principal's Message
Assalamu Alaikum
and welcome to Um Al-Qura Islamic School!
Long ago, in some far away land,
technologists sprayed the forests to get rid of the mosquitoes. They
used DDT. The result set off an unexpected chain reaction. Cockroaches
ate the poisoned mosquitoes and became ill and slow-moving. In turn,
lizards caught them. But they too became ill and could no longer feed
upon an insect, which consumed the straw thatching of the native's
huts. The catastrophic result for the unsuspecting natives was that
their roofs fell down upon their heads. Hence the term, according to
legend, "plan ahead".
Good planning could have prevented
this. Your agenda book is your planner. It contains a calendar, our
code of conduct and our basic school policies.
If you plan your time well, you will
enjoy both academic and personal success and find the time to balance
your academic goals with enriching social opportunities at Um Al-Qura
Islamic School.
So welcome to the 3rd year at Um Al-Qura
Islamic School. Remember, your success is our success; the experiences
you provide for yourself through good time management will ultimately
bring rewards to yourself, your family and friends, and to Um Al-Qura
