Hello. Welcome to my site. Here you will learn a little about me. I started the "Angel Domain" website on July 9th, 1999. Originally it was called the "Angel Of Mine" site. Losing a child is the saddest thing anyone could possibly go through, and most of the time if the child is lost through a miscarriage, that child is never known by anyone but the family. I wanted to change that. I feel that every child should have a name and be recognized as a person. My site also gives grieving families some closure. It helps to say "This is my child. He/She will always be loved." After a while, I began getting requests to add older people to my site. Anywhere from childhood to elderly people. My site has now become a memorial for all ages. I hope that by making this site, I am helping to raise loss awareness and get the word out about prenatal testing for some of these causes.
Recently I have lost loved ones as well, and they have also been added to my site. In a way I guess I too was helped by my own website. It gives me a place to "visit them" through pictures and poems. Pictures of your children are welcome, and encouraged on my site. Even if the photos were taken after death, the children are just as beautiful, and it is another way to share your children with the world, and to let other grieving families know that no matter how bad it hurts, they are not alone, and things will slowly get better.
I have a special page just for the pictures, so if anyone feels they are not ready or do not wish to see the pictures, they can just avoid that page.
Now onto the about me stuff: My name is Amanda... I'm 24 years old, and I live in Salt Lake City, Utah. I have two children at home with me. My Daughter Destiny is 3 years old, and my Son Gavin is 2 years old.
They keep me very busy and leave little time for anything else. I am engaged to be married. His name is Jeff.
Our family tries to get out as often as possible to go camping or on vacations. My first real Nephew was just born on June 1st. His name is Ryan James, he looks just like my Brother, and I think he's adorable!
In my spare time, I enjoy outdoor activities... Camping, hiking, fishing, 4-wheeling, catching lizards. I also like to work on my websites and make cross-stitches. We have 2 pets, and some fish and frogs. We have a black cat named "Nightmare" and we have an Iguana named "Anouk". My aquatic collection includes 2 glo-light tetras, 1 ghost cat, and 2 khuli loaches and 2 African Dwarf frogs. I also have another cat named Tasha and a horse named Pantabarr. They live at my parents' home.
The 1st pic was taken on my Daughter's 2nd birthday. I was 23. The second picture was taken August 1, 2005. Age 24.
I collect several different things... I have several 1:18 scale model classic cars, all older than 1960. I collect Wolf and Native American figurines, as well as Dreamcatchers. I make Dreamcatchers too. I also have a good collection of Porcelain Dolls, and recently I've started collecting Faerie figurines.
About once a week, I baby sit my friend Staci's baby girl... Her name is Amanda too!
It's fun having a new baby around, but I'm definitely not ready for any more right now. My 2 keep me very busy and when Jeff and I get married, I will be a proud Step-Mom to 3 more boys. Tommy is 13 now, and the twins, Tony and Andy are 11. They live in Vermont with their Mother. I think I've got a pretty big family.
