Starting piano when I was four, I completed all the levels of the Suzuki method with a great teacher before switching to another talented teacher. After a year with her, I began taking lessons from another wonderful teacher.
I enjoy music very much and have earned several musical achievements. At the SummerArts Piano Competition, I placed first in the piano competition, in which I played a Scarlatti Sonata and the third movement of a Kabalevsky Concerto, and second in the theory competition. As a reward, I received $50 and performed my Kabalevsky with a professional orchestra at Temple Square in Utah.
I have always received a superior rating from the National Federation of Music Clubs. Currently, I have earned a 15-point gold cup for the concerto event, and a 45-point gold cup for the piano solo event.
I attended the Joy Robin Piano Competition, and placed second in my division with Grande Valse brillante, a Chopin waltz.
"Discover Spring Commencing," the title of a musical piece that I composed, was one of the four musical composition winners to represent Utah for National Reflections.
