Janice is one of the founding members of the Night Hookers and works as an editor in a local publishing company. She is married to Tom, a software engineer, and has a infant daughter, Rebecca. Tom is husband to Janice, and not always very understanding of her love of crochet. He works in a local software development firm as a software engineer. Rebecca is the beautiful infant daughter of Janice and Tom. She will probably be a future crocheter! Helene is the mother of Janice. She is a proud, stubborn woman who does not understand her daughter's love of crochet. Jefferson works as a vice president in a local publishing company. He is married to Maria, whose family is extremely wealthy, and together they have one daughter, Julia. Maria is the wife of Jefferson and the mother of Julia. She is the only daughter of a local wealthy family. Julia is daughter of Jefferson and Maria. She recently discovered the art of crochet through the internet. A woman on the West Coast, Lisa, is teaching her the art. Julia attends a private school in New England. Nancy is a school friend of Julia's and is attending school on a scholarship. She wants to learn to crochet. Wendy is a friend of Maria and Randy. She works in a local software development firm as the vice president of web development. She comes from a local wealthy family who continues to spoil her. Alicia recently discovered her love of crochet, with Janice to teach and guide her. After learning to crochet, Alicia began having a series of dreams about events in the past. Randy is a founding member of the Night Hooks and owns a bookstore in the downtown area. His sister, Ellen, searching for vintage crochet books and Randy recently received a shipment of books that contained a very special, old book published in 1847. There the mystery begins.... Ellen is Randy's sister, an antique dealer, and the seeker of vintage crochet books for her brother. Lori is a member of the Night Hookers and is a textile historican in a local museum. Lisa is the mother of Lori and the teacher of Julia and Nancy. Lisa will soon be a grandmother. Edward is a technician in one of the labortories in the museum where Lori works. Ms. Pachet is a teacher at Julia's school. She does not like Julia and will do anything to make Julia's life at school more difficult. Mrs. Hastenings is the principal at Julia's school, and is a kind, caring person, where Julia and Nancy are concerned. Elizabeth lived in England in the mid to late 1500s and is a crocheter. Catherine is the daughter of Elizabeth and John. John is the husband of Elizabeth and the father of Catherine. He works as a farmer with his older sons. William is the oldest son of Elizabeth and John. Mary is the younger sister of Elizabeth. Margaret is a neighbor of Elizabeth and John's. She sells her craftwares at the local marketplace. She does not like Elizabeth or her skill in crochet.
