     Honaker Elementary/Middle School is located in Southwest Virginia.  It serves a small community located at the foot of Big A Mountain.  Honaker has the distinction of being the "Redbud Capital of the World".  Each year a celebration is held in our community in honor of the Redbud tree which,  grows extensively in our area.  Our school is located off of Route 67.  We are just completing renovations on our school.  A new heating and cooling system has been installed, new, more heat- efficient windows are now in place, and ceilings have been replaced or painted throughout the school.  A new, full size gymnasium has also been added to our school.
