It is thought by researcher Sarah Coons, that Levi Isbell was father of William R. Isbell. In the Lauderdale Counties Alabama, Levi Isbell is thought to be the son of Zachariah Isbell, Jr. There are many researchers working on this line, and as records are scarce, it is not sure if this will ever be proved. Levi Isbell bought land in Jackson Co. Alabama in 1831. He apparently died between 1850 and 1860, Since he was on the 1850 census for Jackson County, and not the 1860 census. Levi's children believed to be Zachariah, born abt.1799, James, (our Grandfather)abt. 1804, Margaret Todd born 1805, Nancy born abt.1805, Nancy born abt.1808, Jesse born abt. 1810, and William R.
