The Mosses are said have originated as a sport of the Centifolias before 1750. Most are old roses, though a few modern breeders have been introducing some new mosses. There are both repeat bloomers and once bloomers among the class with a color range that covers the full spectrum of roses. Ralph Moore has even bred some miniature mosses.
