Amateur radio is something I really enjoy doing.  Its helps me relax, and pass the time.  I am active mostly on digital modes on HF, but have been known to open a mic and ragchew on HF, and VHF/UHF.  As far as moods of operation, I use mostly RTTY and PSK31.  My RTTY setup consists of a sound card based computer program called MMTTY by MM Hamsoft.  It is very easy to use, and works well for me.  Some reports have it copying better than some TNC based software.  For PSK31, I am using Digipan.  Its simple and easy to use.  I also play around some with SSTV using MMSSTV by the same programmer as MMTTY, also by MM Hamsoft.  I copy pictures more than I send them.

My shack is kind of in a state of flux right now.  I am going to be moving soon.  The shack will be centered around a Icom 726 HF rig, running through a tuner, into a Crushcraft AV-5 Vertical ground mounted.  Works real well for me where I am.  I am needing to make an interface for the Icom to run the digital programs from my computer.  That is one of those things where I just need to get off my butt and do it.

Here is a list of 10m, VHF, UHF repeaters in Southwest Virginia.
