Autographs from the Attic I have always dreamt that I would explore my grandpa's attic and discover a "hidden stash" of rare sports cards... I could have never imagined that what I would get would turn out to be so much better! Most of these autographs were obtained through the mail. My uncle would write to the players, during the mid- 1940's, when he and my dad lived in Boston. When he wrote to an individual player, he would often ask if any of the player's team mates would sign for him as well. Most requests came back favorably!
