The
origins of the word "Telephone" means
far off sound. The 3G mobile
and digital developments mean that communications
have never been clearer, more personal, and many
non voice based services are evolving.
Commercial mobile telephony has its roots in the
1940s. Before that time all development were line
based. The vacuum tube and loading coil made the
early telephone network possible. Similarly, the
advent of low cost microprocessors and digital switching
allowed the wireless revolution of radio-telephone,
especially cellular radio, to begin. |
