Scenario 3

Seize the Woods

"If we are to defeat these puny High Elves, we need more Bolt Throwers," stated Kalad Kalegth coldly. "For that we need wood. By occupying the woods we will also deprive the our thrice cursed brethren of war machines." Kalad spat as he thought of the disguting nature of the High Kindred and looked forward to the day when they would all be but slaves of Khaine.


This scenario represents Kalad Kalegth's attempt to seize the woods he needs to build Repeater Bolt Throwers.

Scenery

One player should set up the scenery, and the other should choose a side on which to deploy. Five woods should be set up, and a few hills, otherwise no buildings should be used.

Armies

Both sides should choose a 1500 point army. Each side may only use one war machine, otherwise there are no restrictions. The High Elf army is led by Lenihan, a High Elf General, who may ride a barded Elven Steed, a pegasus or a great eagle. The Dark Elf army is led by Kalad Kalegth, a Dark Elf general riding a Cold One or a Dark Pegasus.

Deployment

Roll a dice to see who deploys first. Players may deploy within 12" of their table edge.

Turns

Roll a D6 to decide how long the game lasts. 1: 4 turns. 2-5: 5 turns. 6: 6 turns.

Who goes first

Roll a D6 to decide who goes first.

Victory

Work out Victory Points as normal, then add 2 victory points for each wood occupied.at the end of the battle by each army. The winner is the army with more victory points.

The army which loses may only use ONE War Machine in the final battle.
