dislcaimer: I don't own DBZ. For the rest, just look at the rest of my chapters.

I was thinking about my story when I realized something: not only did I mix tenses, I could have made it much better. Sooooooooo I'm taking part 3 because, let's face it, that's where the story really started going downhill.
Enjoy my new, more intense writing style. *smiles sweetly*

Part Three of Grand Dutchess of the Saiyajin Revised

Sarah pulled a beautiful yet simple black silken gown out of her closet and set to dressing herself. Grabbing her Tiara of Mourning, she worked her hair into an elegant bun before placing the tiara on top of her head. She then took black powder and dabbed it onto her cheeks and eyelids.

When Jazzy entered her mistress's chambers to tell her the prisoners were ready for their execution, she found Sarah dressed and ready. After the dutchess excused Jazzy, she wiped a solitary tear from her eye and left for the Starlight Tower.

Vejita, Bulma, and Trunks were awakened by Sarah's bright entrance.

"Let Vejita down but keep Bulma and Trunks chained." Jazzy set to do that which her mistress ordered.

"What game are you playing?" growled out Vejita. Sarah smirked in self-satisfaction.

"Dear, dear Vejita...This isn't a game, I assure you. I could never truly feel satisfied from killing you unless I do so in a more fair way. You and I shall fight each other. Who ever lives, lives. Whoever dies, dies," she answered. The widening of Vejita's eyes made the young female saiyajin strangely content.

"THAT'S HARDLY FAIR! YOUR POWER LEVEL IS HIGH ENOUGH THAT I WOULDN'T STAND A CHANCE! I MIGHT AS WELL STILL BE CHAINED TO THE WALL!!" yelled an outraged saijajin no ouji. However, the saijajin dutchess had been expecting her cousin's angry response.

"Which is why I will only fight you using half power," she said. "No matter what happens, I will not go above." Vejita reluctantly agreed and got into a fighter's stance.

"Your move," he said. Sarah shook her head.

"Oh, no, Vejita," she replied. "I believe that it is your move."

(Author: I'm not about to attempt a fight scene. I know my limits.)
Vejita blocked his cousin's kick only to find a sudden pain in his chest. Looking down at where his chest should be, he saw a gaping hole. After that, the proud prince only saw red then black as his cold, dead body slumped to the floor. Bulma and Trunks struggled more than ever to break their chains but to no avail.

'Odd. I thought revenge would feel better than this. This...this feeling...Is cold...Empty...I should be happy--relieved! So...why do I feel as though a part of me just died?' Sarah spared a glance at her older cousin's mate and son before turning to Jazzy.

"Wait until I have left the tower. Once I am gone, set them free." Jazzy bowed before her mistress.

"As you wish, your highness." Feeling weary, the Saiyajin's dutchess turned and flew away.

Bulma stared brokenly at her husband's dead body and didn't even acknowledge the sudden lack of restraints. She did, however, notice when Trunks suddenly launched himself into her arms crying pitiously for the man he'd so strived to be like.

A/N: No, this is not the end. I know Vejita's dead. However, this story is far from being over and done with. Don't worry. And don't forget--they still have the dragon balls. So there's still hope. Unless, of course, I decide on the dark path. See, I have two different endings in mind for this. I might just end up writing and posting both. One is happy and the other is...not happy at all. Well, hopefully I'll get the revised chapter 4 out soon! Latah!
