As we walked down the hill from the Cousins we can hear the sound of falling water. After another fifty yards we come to Falls Creek, which gets its name from the waterfalls near the trail.

Waterfalls, at Falls Creek

The first view of the waterfall is from the trail above. The do not look as majestic as when you walk to the base of the falls. These falls are estimated at 25 feet in height.

A close up, head on view of the Falls

It is definatly not the easiest place to get into, but at the bottom of the falls the sound of crashing water fills your ears. Further down, Falls Creek feeds into the Goodman Creek. As we continued down the trail we get the see a few great glimpses of the Creek that gives the headland its name.

Goodman Creek

This is the place where the trail crosses Goodman Creek. By this point in the hike my feet are always feeling very hot, so I always take my shoes and socks off and walk across the cool water. During my summer at Toleak, this spot became my favorite place to destination. Aliye and I hiked a little further before we turned and headed back to Toleak and the trailhead. Next (Page 5)
