We met at Rialto early the next morning and made the 2 hour drive up to Lake Ozette. From there we got on the triangle loop from Ozette to Cape Alava to Sand Point and back to Ozette. Each leg of the triangle is 3 miles, and this hike is an easy and awesome hike. We quickly scurried down the trail and were on the beach at Cape Alava.

Ozette Island

This is one of the many islands just off the coast of Cape Alava. We could hear the noise of the sealions that inhabit these islands before we could hear or see the beach. This coastline is one of the most rugged places to see...primitive. I imagine this is what it would have looked like hundreds of years ago.

Cannonball Island

Cannonball island is just north of Ozette island. The Ozette indians used to use Cannonball as a fortress when they were at war with neighboring tribes. Aliye and I hiked south a little further after a quick stop at Cape Alava. I knew there were more great rocks to come.

Seastack

This is yet another great rock formation formed by the tides. This rock formation is just south of Cape Alava. As we hiked south I was getting anxious for the next attraction on our list. Next (Page 8)
